WARNING: The following contains spoilers for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Season 5, now streaming on Netflix.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power has had Adora leading the rebellion in the past, mostly because of her ability to turn into She-Ra, but in terms of an official face, Queen Glimmer has held that spot. That is until last season when she betrayed the alliance and ended up as Horde Prime's prisoner. As the fifth season rolls on, the rebellion is alive and kicking against Prime's forces, which are invading Etheria, and the rebellion has a new leader. Bow's taken the reins, and what he accomplishes in such a short span of time makes him the best one yet.

Initially, Bow struggles with wanting to be a warrior in spite of his parents' ambitions for him to become a librarian and archivist. Bow leans towards the freedom fighter role, but he needed a lot of work to get here. Fighting alongside Adora has polished him up, especially in the face of Shadow Weaver, Catra and the Fright Zone. He's also had a lot of super-powered princesses to cover his back like Glimmer, Netossa, Spinerella and more, but with Etheria plunged into chaos, Bow steps up big time as a non-magic user.

He isn't a kooky goofball anymore; he's more realistic and cautious after Glimmer exposed Etheria's magic for her self-gain. He still loves her and plans to save her, but he's become more of a strategist and leader in the process, making him a commander that would make Terminator's John Connor or Star Wars' Princess Leia proud.

Bow has also become a better archer, in line with Hawkeye, and can take out Prime's drones, clones and soldiers with accuracy and without fear. He's also the chief tactician as he takes over from Glimmer, and when they do rescue her, a lot of it is due to his plan, which Adora follows the best she can.

Once Gimmer is back, Bow does not ease off the gas because he knows the stakes are high, and he can't let his feelings for her cloud his judgement. This is beneficial because his extraction methods help garner insight into Krytis as well as how the First Ones have harnessed the power of Etheria's heart. His job is made even more complicated when many of Etheria's princesses and other allies are mind-controlled by Prime; however, Bow never wavers, and this inspires Adora, Glimmer and the rest.

Bow also bravely rescues his dads, and their research leads to a big deus ex machina for the season, a failsafe code that shuts the Heart down and destroys Prime's plans to weaponize Etheria's magic. He then comes up with a game plan with Entrapta to break Prime's hive mind and free the enslaved Etherians, which he accomplishes in the finale despite going against a brainwashed Scorpia. Bow undergoes tremendous growth, and his arc is that of an epic warrior.

His big plan to save the planet is rewarded at the end when he sends out a holographic rallying call to unite all the species of Etheria, encouraging them to fight and believe in the power of love. It's a rousing speech that riles Prime and puts an exclamation mark on Bow's evolution. The princesses, those who defected from Hordak's legion and those who were scared to fight, hear him loud and clear, making the rebellion bigger than ever thanks to Bow.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power stars Aimee Carrero, Karen Fukuhara, AJ Michalka, Marcus Scribner, Reshma Shetty, Lorraine Toussaint, Keston John, Lauren Ash, Christine Woods, Genesis Rodriguez, Jordan Fisher, Vella Lovell, Merit Leighton, Sandra Oh, Krystal Joy Brown and Jacob Tobia.
