The following contains spoilers for She-Hulk #6, now on sale from Marvel Comics

While She-Hulk is always a heroic figure in the Marvel Universe, she's also largely defined, especially in the 21st century, as a lawyer above all else. She has represented heroes in court and has been crucial to some surprisingly important decisions. Now, she's just found a new client who could spell big things for Jen Walters going forward.

She-Hulk just gained the entire mutant nation of Krakoa as a client in She-Hulk #6 (by Rainbow Rowell, Luca Maresca, Rico Renzi, and VC's Joe Caramagna) and it could serve as the ideal blueprint for how to connect her Marvel Cinematic Universe incarnation to any upcoming X-Men storylines.

She-Hulk X-Men Lawyer Plan 2

She-Hulk has been returning to her legal career after an extended period as an Avenger. Work has started off slow, but she has the support of the rest of the hero community. This has even meant She-Hulk has found herself working for her former enemy Mallory Book, who initially tries to impose a non-superpowered rule on her up-and-coming legal firm. Arriving at the office one morning though, She-Hulk finds Nightcrawler waiting for her. The Legion of X leader reveals that the creation of the mutant nation has complicated things for many members of the team in a number of minor ways Professor Xavier likely wasn't considering when he helped form Krakoa.

The act of nation-building has complicated things on a lot of levels for the X-Men, many of whom were American citizens before. It turns out that immigration issues, residency disputes, and various personal rights of numerous X-Men have been called into question while they've been on Krakoa, and heroes who can stare down a Celestial are having trouble keeping their driver's licenses valid. Nightcrawler reveals the nation needs legal representation for every single mutant. Desperate for the clients, She-Hulk is quick to agree to the proposition, as it's a major get for the new legal firm. Even Mallory is (reluctantly) excited about the development, as it's a major windfall for the group going forward.

She-Hulk X-Men Lawyer Plan 3

She-Hulk's experience as a lawyer might make her one of Krakoa's most important allies, as she could be crucial in all sorts of legal quandaries. It's likely she'll find her hands full, especially with major businesses like X-Corp and the Hellfire Trading Corporation operating on a global scale. This is on top of the various legal troubles the X-Men have encountered such as international incidents perpetrated by groups like X-Force and the Hellions. But if there's anyone who is equipped enough to contend with these legal hurdles, it's She-Hulk. This new role also helps her cement a bit of stability in her life, all the while assisting another corner of the Marvel Universe, and giving her a connection to a major superhero team she hasn't been a member of.

She-Hulk's newfound role as a legal expert on mutant affairs could even be the perfect set-up for the MCU incarnation of the character to continue playing a role even in mutant-centric storylines. With the X-Men inevitably coming to the MCU (and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law already teasing the existence of Wolverine), making Jen Walters part of the legal counsel to Charles Xavier or some of his students could help flesh out the mutants' overall connection to the rest of the universe. She-Hulk could easily appear in an X-Men story defending a mutant in court, or mutants could begin to appear in her own adventures. By becoming the attorney for mutantkind, She-Hulk may have found the perfect way to connect herself with one of the MCU's biggest incoming swaths of characters.
