The She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series hasn't exactly been inspiring too much confidence among the general audience, with even fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe questioning the quality of what's been shown. Sadly, those working on the show aren't helping to make the hype any higher, instead doing the opposite.

Comedian and actress Jameela Jamil plays Titania on the She-Hulk show, but her comments about how the iconic Marvel villain will be portrayed are the opposite of exciting. Worst of all, they come at a time when the MCU is experiencing some fairly mixed-to-negative reception, especially in terms of annoying humor. This could see Jamil's version of Titania be a titanic failure.

Titania Will Be "Annoying" In She-Hulk

According to Jamil herself, Titania's incarnation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be the "most annoying villain yet." Apparently, this power is to such a degree that it almost supersedes Titania's vast strength, with the actress playing her joking that she could simply annoy people to death. Such a character might work in the comparatively more serious DC Extended Universe, where her silliness would make her more unique. In the MCU, however, the last thing that many jaded fans want to see is an intentionally annoying bad guy.

The MCU has been criticized for relying too much on cheap humor for years, though it's become particularly egregious with the success of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Many MCU fans forgave the movies' comedic indulgences when these films were largely well-received. With the soon-to-end Phase 4, however, both Marvel Studios' shows and movies have been far more criticized than previous entries. One big letdown was the recent Thor: Love and Thunder, which many felt particularly angry toward for its unrelenting jokes. That movie never took its heroes seriously, in the process making them very annoying. If Titania is a villain who acts the same way, that could only mean that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is primed to disappoint fans.

She-Hulk Has Enough Problems Without Titania Being Annoying

Many fans are already skeptical about the upcoming She-Hulk series, with its quality already coming into question. The first trailer for the series had notoriously wonky CGI, with She-Hulk herself looking pretty bad for what supposedly had a Disney budget behind it. A second trailer has since been released, but it doesn't look much better outside the likely fan-service bait presence of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock/Daredevil. Just as many were unenthused that this quirky looking series would be where both Bruce Banner/The Hulk and Emil Blonsky/Abomination's stories would be continued.

It's obvious that She-Hulk is going for a more female-oriented story and scope, which itself is fine. The problem is that the product so far doesn't look that great, and it's also coming out in a time when there are few crowd-pleasers in the MCU. Attorney at Law would have been more welcome in the heyday of the MCU, but that seems to be long ago at this point. Instead, Titania and her annoying nature will likely be heavily derided by many, making She-Hulk's uphill battle to win over fans even harder.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premieres on Disney+ on Aug. 18, with new episodes streaming Thursdays.
