A photo from the set of Marvel's Disney+ series She-Hulk offers a first look at Tatiana Maslany as the titular hero, Jen Walters.
The photo features Maslany in a yellow UCLA hoodie, Jen Walters' alma mater. Posted by Atlanta Filming on Instagram, the caption reads, "#shehulk in a sweater. There. Happy? Smiley, happy Shehulk [Maslany] in a tennis-ball yellow UCLA sweater... about to kick some ass! Or be a traffic cone. Seriously, that sweater is electric yellow and I have never seen such a gigantic smile on a person."
Details surrounding the series have been scarce, with this photo of Maslany as Jen Walters being the first behind-the-scenes set photo. It's known that the series will follow Jen Walters' career as a public defender in New York City, with Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Casting calls have revealed the inclusion of a shapeshifting alien named A'Dood, who will be played by a female actor between 20-30 years old. Hamilton star Renée Elise Goldsberry will also join the cast as a character named Amelia, though it remains unknown what her connection to She-Hulk will be.
Filming for the Disney+ series began in April 2021, following an announcement from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who stated that filming for She-Hulk would begin soon after the start of production on Moon Knight, another Marvel series starring Oscar Isaac.
She-Hulk will be a live-action legal comedy with the first season consisting of 10 half-hour episodes. This is in contrast to other Marvel Disney+ series like WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which aired nine and six episodes respectively.
Developed by Jessica Gao, Disney+'s She-Hulk stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Ginger Gonzaga and Renée Elise Goldsberry. The series has yet to receive a premiere date on Disney+.
