She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Tatiana Maslany has discussed Charlie Cox's return as Daredevil in the upcoming Disney+ original series.

Maslany was asked about Cox reprising his role as the Man Without Fear in She-Hulk during an interview with Deadline at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Maslany didn't provide any details regarding what role Cox's Daredevil will play in the show, though did say that she thinks his appearance will satisfy Marvel fans. "I don't want to say anything," Maslany said. "I just want to say that it was-- I think the fans will be really happy. Because he's amazing. He's really amazing."

Cox initially portrayed Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Netflix original series Marvel's Daredevil, which ran for three seasons from 2015 to 2018. He also played the character in Netflix's 2017 limited series Marvel's The Defenders, a crossover between Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. All of Marvel Television's Netflix originals were ultimately canceled, with Daredevil in particular getting the ax in November 2018 -- one month after the premiere of its third season.

The Man Without Fear Has Been Born Again

In December 2021 -- three years after Daredevil's cancellation -- Cox finally reprised his role as Matt Murdock in the Marvel Studios film Spider-Man: No Way Home. That same month, fellow Daredevil alum Vincent D'Onofrio reprised his role as the villainous Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Marvel Studios' Disney+ original series Hawkeye. In March of this year, Daredevil migrated from Netflix to Disney+ alongside the rest of Marvel's Netflix originals.

It was at SDCC 2022 that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige officially confirmed that Cox and D'Onofrio would return in Daredevil: Born Again, a Disney+ original series slated to premiere in spring 2024 as part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The show's first season will consist of 18 episodes. Cox and D'Onofrio will also reportedly appear as Daredevil and Kingpin, respectively, in Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ series Echo, a spinoff of Hawkeye, which will premiere in summer 2023 as an earlier Phase Five title. Moreover, Cox is set to voice Daredevil in Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ animated series Spider-Man: Freshman Year.

Before any of that, however, Cox will appear as Daredevil -- his first time suiting up since 2018 -- in Disney+'s Maslany-led She-Hulk series. Marvel Studios' She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is slated to premiere in just a couple of weeks on Wednesday, Aug. 17 as the penultimate chapter in the MCU's Phase Four. A new trailer for the show revealed at SDCC features a cameo by Daredevil, who is seen sporting a new, red and yellow suit -- a throwback to his original comic book design from 1964.
