One great thing about Marvel Studios' absolute takeover of pop culture is that there is now Marvel for everyone. Like ultra-violence and raunchy jokes? There's Deadpool. Like cute teen romps and school drama? Take your pick of the Spider-Man movies or Ms. Marvel. Yet, Marvel Cinematic Universe obsessives who aren't into a half-hour legal comedy will still have to watch She-Hulk: Attorney at Law simply for how it will explore the world and "lore" of the MCU.

For as expansive as the MCU is, what we know about the "worldbuilding" has only been through the prism of how it relates to the characters. We know there is a Department of Damage Control, a federal agency in partnership with Stark Industries, only because they interfered with the life of Adrian Toomes in Spider-Man: Homecoming. We saw them also prosecuting heroes like Peter Parker and chasing after Kamala Khan in Ms. Marvel. It's all very character-focused. That Kamala is herself an Avengers fangirl is what allowed Ms. Marvel to show us what the fandom is like in the MCU for their heroes. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is poised to change that, simply because the legality of superhero antics is her job.

Firstly, it looks like She-Hulk will be a The Incredible Hulk sequel since Tim Roth is returning as Emil Blonsky. We saw the character, as the Abomination, fighting Wong in Shang-Chi, and that relationship is going to be explained in this new series. Last fans heard about Blonsky was in one of the Louis D'Esposito shorts, The Consultant, that explains the Tony Stark cameo in The Incredible Hulk. Apparently, he's been locked up ever since, with occasional furloughs to fight in an underground superhero fight club. Just making sense of who is in charge of his custody will deal with the aftermath of S.H.I.E.L.D. falling. It's possible that the late William Hurt even filmed some scenes for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, since it filmed before his passing. We will probably also see the reappearance of Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus).

Also, it's confirmed She-Hulk will be lousy with cameos, of both new and familiar Marvel faces. Fans will meet weirdos like the Fabulous Frog-Man and Jameela Jamil's Titania, and see the return of Charlie Cox's Daredevil. There are certainly other characters, most of them probably deep-cut gags for the comics faithful, who will appear in this series. Yet, for every goof character, we might meet someone important like Squirrel Girl or some more mutants. Even if the meta-comedy of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is not something every MCU fans wants, they're at least going to want to keep up on what happens in the series. Not only can it further build the world of the MCU, it can also set up important, non-Multiverse things for the future.

One of the most interesting things about the series to the nerdiest of fans will be how the storytellers approach the legality of superheroes. It's long been fodder in the comics to mention how leaving a crook tied up to a lamppost with a cartoon bag of money next to them almost never translates into convictions. Creating a superhero world with known consequences for their shenanigans is, on its own, an interesting story. The entire drive of Prime Video's The Boys is that these characters are seeking justice because the world they live in doesn't hold supes accountable. While this does set She-Hulk: Attorney at Law up for some interesting narrative commentary, it will also illuminate the minutiae of life in the MCU.

Whether fans are into the meta-comedy of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law or not, this series is a must-watch for MCU completionists. Fans looking to better understand the world outside the frame in the films and series will feast on what the series will reveal. It will be more than just Daredevil and Frog-Man, that's for certain.
