The Marvel Comics universe is full of hulks these days. The original and most well-known, of course, is Doctor Bruce Banner, whose experiments with gamma radiation unleashed The Incredible Hulk. When Dr. Banner's cousin, Jennifer Walters, was near death, he gave her a blood transfusion to save her life. In doing so, he not only revived her, but also gave her the power to transform into the She-Hulk.

She-Hulk's journey through life has been vastly different from her cousin's. She has focused more on her legal career and personal life than on being a superhero. Despite that focus, She-Hulk also doesn't run from a fight. She has come up against some of the strongest beings in the universe, including her cousin Bruce, and she has often come out on top due to her strength, focus, and dedication.

10 Jennifer Walters Could Kick Bruce Banner's Butt

In She-Hulk #8, Jennifer was forced into a boxing match against the Champion of the Universe, who had already bested Gladiator, Drax, Beta-Ray Bill, and The Silver Surfer. While training for the match, she realized that her strength as Jennifer Walters increases exponentially when she transforms into She-Hulk.

After this realization, Jennifer started training not as She-Hulk, but in her human form. She-Hulk's strength magnified her gains a thousandfold and she defeated the Champion in their bout. Whether Hulk could do the same is up for debate, but it's clear that, out of hulk form, Jennifer is much stronger and better trained in combat than her cousin Bruce.

9 She-Hulk Defeated A Clone Of Thanos

She-Hulk picks up a clone of Thanos in Marvel Comics

Thanks to the Infinity War movies, most fans know who Thanos is and just how powerful the purple-skinned Eternal can be. In the comics, the Deviant Eternal was so palpably evil from the start that his own mother tried to kill him after he was born. He was so strong that she, and several others, failed to end his threat in his childhood.

Thanos is immensely strong and nearly invulnerable and is equipped with powerful psychic abilities. Most fans think he's among the strongest beings in the universe. It might come as a shock to learn that when She-Hulk went up against a clone of Thanos with all his powers, in She-Hulk #13, she bested the Titan. The Incredible Hulk, on the other hand, was defeated and chained by the Titan in the Thanos comic series.

8 Doc Green Admitted That She-Hulk Is The Better Hulk

Doc Green tells She-Hulk she is the best hulk in Marvel Comics

During the Omega Hulk storyline, a treatment increased The Hulk's intelligence, and he adopted the identity "Doc Green." With the physical power of The Hulk and intelligence surpassing even Dr. Banner's, Doc Green began a quest to "cure" everyone who has developed powers as a result of gamma radiation.

Eventually, Doc Green confronted She-Hulk. She and the other Avengers assumed he would attempt to destroy her powers but he only wanted to talk to his cousin. He reveals that she was the only person he knows whose life was actually improved by becoming a hulk. Taking a situation that had ruined many lives and turning it to her advantage proved She-Hulk's incredible strength of character.

7 She-Hulk Bested The Man-Thing

Man-Thing was created when Dr. Ted Sallis injected himself with an experimental serum before crashing into a swamp. The creature he became possesses inhuman strength, physical malleability, empathic abilities, and the ability to heal by absorbing plant life. As the living embodiment of Earth's life-force, he is one of the strongest characters in the Marvel universe.

The Incredible Hulk has fought Man-Thing a number of times over the years and has never won. She-Hulk, however, battled against Man-Thing in Savage She-Hulk #8 and defeated the unfortunate creature. His empathic powers proved to be his downfall after he was overloaded by the strength of her rage.

6 She-Hulk's Powers Were Upgraded By A Celestial

In Avengers Vol. 8 #2, a swarm of powerful giant insects emerged from inside the Earth. As She-Hulk fought the bugs, she encountered an apparently dead Celestial. It turns out the Celestial, named Eson, was only mostly dead. He zapped She-Hulk with his cosmic powers, and she was transported to her teammates, more powerful than ever.

Several issues later, Doctor Strange performed tests on She-Hulk, and they revealed that Eson had charged up She-Hulk's gamma radiation levels exponentially, exceeding even Cousin Bruce's radioactivity. It was temporary but after this supercharge from one of the most powerful beings in the universe, it is likely that She-Hulk's powers exceeded her cousin's.

5 She-Hulk Held Her Own Against Zeus

In the Marvel universe, the Olympian gods exist in a pocket dimension and occasionally interact with Earth and its heroes. Zeus is the monarch of Olympus and the most powerful of the gods. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, stamina, invulnerability, and healing, not to mention additional supernatural powers such as shape-shifting and electrical manipulation.

When the Avengers fought against Zeus She-Hulk held her own against the god-king for a considerable amount of time, getting in a number of powerful blows. In contrast, The Hulk fought against Zeus in The Incredible Hulks series, and Zeus demolished him almost immediately.

4 The Magistrati Asked She-Hulk To Join Them

The Magistrati are a group tasked with enforcing The Living Tribunal's Universal Laws. As a cosmic-level legal organization, it's not surprising that Jennifer Walters' legal skills brought her to the Magistrati's attention. In She-Hulk #7, The Magistrati recruited Walters to join them as a judge of interplanetary legal disputes.

In her final encounter with The Living Tribunal, Walters was asked to defend the universe of Earth-616 by convincing The Tribunal not to replace her universe with an arguably more perfect version. Walters was up to the task and literally saved the entire universe. Even with his scientific intellect, it is unlikely that Bruce Banner could have shown any greater logical or intellectual strength.

3 She-Hulk Literally Tore Vision In Half

She-Hulk Destroys Vision in Marvel Comics

The Vision is unquestionably one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. As an exceptionally advanced android, Vision's powers include incredible intelligence, a body made of nanobots, holographic manipulation, superhuman strength, stamina, and reflexes, intangibility, and flight. He also has the ability to channel the sun's power into beams through the solar stone embedded in his head.

In Avengers Disassembled, Vision crashed to Earth and announced he was no longer in control of his actions. She-Hulk, driven into a frenzy by the Scarlet Witch's magic, sprang into action and ripped Vision in half, destroying the powerful android.

2 She-Hulk Is In Control

Over time, both She-Hulk's and The Incredible Hulk's ability to control their powers has waxed and waned. Both characters have been subjected to forces that have caused them to lose control over their powers. However, both characters have used various techniques and tools to control their hulk sides, too.

Although both She-Hulk and The Hulk have had variable control over their hulk sides, in general, She-Hulk is known for being in control of her temper, controlling her transformations regardless of anger, and maintaining self-control. The Incredible Hulk, on the other hand, is mostly known for being out of control, both of his transformations and of his hulk form. Jennifer is stronger than her rage, while Bruce will always be dwarfed by his own emotions.

1 Clone Hulk Is No Match For She-Hulk

She-Hulk punches Clone Hulk in Marvel Comics

In Heroes for Hire #12, by Zeb Wells, Clay Mann, Terry Pallott, and Brad Anderson, the Heroes came up against a villain known as Master of the World (or The Master, for short). In order to take out the heroes standing in his way, The Master had created a team of fighters, each one cloned from a different hero. Among these clones is The Behemoth, a clone of The Incredible Hulk.

This version of The Hulk was a clone so She-Hulk was able to unleash the full power of her might against him. After trading blows, She-Hulk took out the clone. The Behemoth clone all the powers and abilities of the original. This was the one situation where She-Hulk was able to prove her strength in a direct, one-on-one contest versus The Hulk.
