It was reported last month that Mark Ruffalo would return as The Hulk in the upcoming She-Hulk series on Disney+, but the details of the Jade Giant's role in the show -- including the number of episodes he would be in -- were unknown. Ruffalo, who has portrayed both the character and his alter ego Bruce Banner in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2012's The Avengers, has confirmed that an appearance by the Jade Giant is being discussed.

"There’s nothing completely at a place where it’s a done deal," Ruffalo explained to Variety"There’s some talk of having Banner/Hulk show up in [the Disney Plus series] She-Hulk. If we come up with something good, that would be really interesting. Right now that’s about it. That’s all there is on the table."

In the comics, it was an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce that gave attorney Jennifer Walters the ability to transform into the Sensational She-Hulk, thanks to the gamma radiation in Bruce's blood. However, in contrast to Bruce's own adrenaline-induced transformations into The Hulk, Jen can control her transformations and retains her normal intelligence as She-Hulk.

Developed for television by Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty), She-Hulk is slated to premiere exclusively on Disney+. No release date or cast has been announced at this time.
