Jameela Jamil, who plays the villain Titania on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, revealed why she's thankful for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's fanbase.

While at San Diego Comic-Con, Jamil explained why she thinks that much of the criticism Marvel fans receive is unwarranted. "I think they get a bad rap sometimes online because they're very passionate and they have a lot of opinions," the actor said during an interview with ComicBook.com's Phase Zero. "But if they weren't so passionate, if they didn't have all those opinions, Marvel maybe wouldn't have evolved to what it is now without the fans. So we have them to thank. Even if they give us tough love sometimes, normally they're right."

This isn't the first time Jamil has come to the defense of MCU fans. Following fan backlash over the look of Titania's wig on She-Hulk, the Good Place actor came to the defense of the fans' desire to make change happen. "It's just a wig. I love the MCU. I love the Marvel fan base. I respect them, and I was merely making sure that they knew that I was with them. I was reassuring them. I'm on their side. And so I never mind any criticism or feedback," Jamil said at the time. "As long as it isn't done in a cruel or toxic way, I'm with the Marvel fan base when they push for more — I'm into it."

Get Ready for a Whole New Titania

On She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Jamil's character Titania will play a major antagonistic role against Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany). Titania first appeared in Marvel Comics in Secret Wars #3 in 1984, where she was given immense power by Doctor Doom. Although this origin could potentially remain the same given the MCU will be adapting the Secret Wars comic in an upcoming Avengers film, it's unlikely as Jamil has already confirmed the Disney+ series is not "telling the comic book version of Titania". Instead, Titania on She-Hulk will be one of the most irritating of all the MCU villains. "I think she almost doesn't need to use her strength; she could just annoy you to death," Jamil said recently.

Starring alongside Jamil and Maslany will be longtime MCU actor Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/ Hulk. When describing Ruffalo and Maslany's chemistry, head writer Jessica Gao said the two actors almost immodestly fell into a familial rhythm. "When we watched you guys, it really felt like, 'oh you are cousins who have been bickering for years at every family reunion,'" she said.
