Daredevil is highly regarded as one of the best comic book shows from the past few years. The Netflix series developed Matt Murdock and his supporting characters in an incredible way, while telling a darker and more intense story than expected. With Daredevil appearing in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and becoming more involved with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he won't be quite so brooding. She-Hulk will explore the lighter side of the character, which is more in line with the tone of the MCU. While the Netflix version is popular, it's okay that Disney is exploring a different side of the Man Without Fear.

The MCU is often criticized for not taking characters seriously or having the same type of comedic dialogue in every movie or show. Daredevil resonated with fans because it was the opposite of all of that. It was intense, grounded and featured breathtaking fight choreography. While Charlie Cox is continuing the role in the MCU, it may be difficult to adjust to a more light-hearted version of the character -- but fans will still find a lot to love.

Daredevil becoming more involved with the MCU means that his style is going to have to change to match the new universe that he's inhabiting. This shift to a lighter tone has already been seen with Hawkeye's writing of Kingpin. Daredevil won't be able to beat people until his knuckles are broken and bloody. But while exploring the lighter side of Daredevil means leaning away from the aspects that people enjoyed in the original series, it also means fresh stories for the character.

Allowing Daredevil to be lighter means Cox can show off more of his acting ability. While humor was present with the character in the Netflix series, the Disney+ show will better display it. Daredevil can still have dark moments while also feeding into the humor of situations or the story. She-Hulk does not have to turn him into a joke for him to land jokes, and Cox knows how to work things in. For Daredevil's character to continue to grow, it's essential to explore more parts of him than just his dark side.

There's also still room for that part of Daredevil in the MCU. Just because She-Hulk focuses on the lighter parts of Daredevil's character, doesn't mean that Echo or Daredevil: Born Again will, too. She-Hulk is more of a comedic show that even includes meta elements, so of course it's going to look for the comedy. Daredevil would feel very out of place if he had a different tone from the rest of the characters and his highly anticipated appearance would ruin the series instead of enhance it. His She-Hulk screen time can add more layers to his personality before other series explore other aspects.

The MCU has a very different tone from Netflix's Marvel series, so audiences shouldn't expect the characters to be exactly the same. The MCU tells darker stories, but often with a fair amount of comedy in the story to offset the tragedy. She-Hulk choosing to focus on the brighter parts of Daredevil isn't a reason to write him off. Characters are multifaceted and a great actor like Charlie Cox can bring all the wonderful aspects of the Netflix version of Daredevil into the MCU -- while adding something fresh.
