She-Hulk: Attorney at Law creator Jessica Gao recently revealed that she already knows what she would like to include in Season 2.

Gao, who also serves as head writer and executive producer on the show, discussed her plans for a potential second season in an interview with Collider. "Honestly, even when I pitched the show, I already had an idea of where I would want it to go for another season and what the premise of that season would be," she said. "From the beginning, I had ideas of where it would go. But coming from TV, you can’t ever go into a first season show thinking you’re gonna get another season. You have to plan for the fact that this might be one and done, so you have to create a season that feels like it’s telling a complete story, and yet leaves the door open. That’s how I approached it. There are a lot of things that we just couldn’t get to, or had to cut from the first season, and it would be really nice for those things to see the light of day again."

This isn't the first time Gao has discussed Jennifer Walters' Marvel Cinematic Universe future, either. The head writer previously indicated that She-Hulk's story will eventually expand beyond the small screen, saying she would be "shocked" if Marvel Studios didn't start including the character in its movies. Gao added that of Marvel Studios' various big screen properties, She-Hulk was especially well-suited to "team-up movies" such as the Avengers franchise.

Will She-Hulk Join The Avengers in the MCU?

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Mark Ruffalo echoed Gao's sentiments in a recent interview, saying that "there's not going to be another Avengers [movie] without [She-Hulk]." When Ruffalo's co-star and She-Hulk actor Tatiana Maslany expressed surprise at Ruffalo's remarks, he insisted that he's heard rumblings that this is indeed the case. Marvel Studios has yet to announce She-Hulk's involvement in upcoming Avengers sequels Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, nor is Maslany officially attached to either production at this stage.

Despite the current focus on Jennifer Walters' future, Gao recently touched on the lawyer-turned-superhero's past, as well. Specifically, she addressed why She-Hulk: Attorney at Law tweaked Jen's origin story to remove its underworld elements. "There were a couple of reasons for making the changes," Gao said. "The heads of Marvel specifically didn’t want to do a mob hit. I think it was because it didn't feel like it vibed with the show."

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is currently streaming on Disney+, with new episodes dropping Thursdays.
