A new clip from She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 3 has revealed new information about Wong and the Abomination's fight in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

IGN debuted the clip, which sheds new light on how and why Emil Blonsky/Abomination fought Wong at an underground fight club. The clip begins with Tatiana Maslany's Jennifer Walters angrily confronting Blonsky over lying straight to her face about never turning into the Abomination anymore. Blonsky corrects the Marvel lawyer, explaining that he had said that he chooses not to transform but that he was forced to by the Sorcerer Supreme. The footage ends with Jennifer Walters and her colleague trying to locate Doctor Strange's Wong.

While initially depicted as a villain in the MCU, the Abomination is on a journey of redemption in She-Hulk, with the character remorseful of his past actions and hopeful that he can make amends with those he hurt. Instead of rampaging across major cities, Blonsky spends his days crafting haikus and searching for inner peace. Tim Roth returned as Emil Blonsky/Abomination for She-Hulk after previously starring as the character in 2008's The Incredible Hulk and, after a lengthy hiatus, in 2021's Shang-Chi.

Abomination Is a Changed Monster

She-Hulk's head writer Jessica Gao recently explained that since viewers hadn't seen the Abomination for over a decade, it was easier to reinvent the character for the Disney+ series. "Anything could have happened to this man over the course of the last 14 years," Gao said. "People change, especially if they've been sitting in a detention cell somewhere. We don't know what's happened all that time and people go through these kinds of changes after such a huge thing has happened to them – and then they've had to sit with it for over a decade." Fans have so far enjoyed the renewed focus on the Abomination within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and are curious to see where he appears next. While Marvel Studios has not announced any future plans for the character at this time, rumors have suggested that Abomination could appear in Thunderbolts as a member of the titular team.
