Pre-production on She-Hulk is starting to ramp up, and the Disney+ series is reportedly looking to cast its villain and several supporting roles.

According to The Illuminerdi, Jennifer Walters will face off against a female villain under the current codename Lucy. According to the description, she is a social media guru (think Kardashian) with a dark side. She is expected to play a prominent role in the series and will appear in at least five episodes.

The drama is also looking to cast Walters' parents in supporting roles and a male co-worker in his late twenties or thirties. Finally, Walter's best friend — codenamed Susie — is also on the casting list. The series is looking for an Asian-American to play the part and wants someone with comedy experience.

Whoever ends up landing these roles will supposedly join Tatiana Maslany, who was reported to have been cast as the titular star by Deadline in mid-September. However, Maslany later denied those reports, which Marvel did not comment on. Still, her casting was celebrated by Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo, veteran She-Hulk comic writers Charles Soule and Dan Slott, artist Phil Noto and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' Simu Liu.

She-Hulk is one of the many MCU series Disney+ has in the pipeline. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was supposed to kick off the lineup in August, but, due to coronavirus delays, was pushed back to 2021. WandaVision will take its place as the first Disney+ MCU series and will premiere in January. Other series in the works include Loki, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight and a drama centered on Nick Fury. An animated What If...? show is also in the works.

On the film side, Marvel has Black Widow scheduled to premiere on May 7, 2021. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will follow on July 9, 2021. Eternals comes next on Nov. 5, 2021. After that will be the untitled Spider-Man 3 on Dec. 17, 2021, Thor: Love and Thunder on Feb. 11, 2022 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on March 25, 2022.

Created by writer Stan Lee and artist John Buscema, She-Hulk first appeared in The Savage She-Hulk #1 in Feb. 1980. After she suffers an injury, Walters receives a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner, giving her a more mild version of the Hulk's powers. This gives her superhuman strength but allows her to maintain her emotional and intellectual intelligence.

Developed for television by Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty), She-Hulk is slated to premiere exclusively on Disney+.
