Shazam! star Zachary Levi has already begun to show how humble and gracious he is as kids gear up to make him their next favorite superhero, and he does so by channeling one of the most famous quotes from the Spider-Man mythos.

When asked on Twitter how it feels knowing teens and youngsters are looking up to him in anticipation of when Shazam! hits theaters next year, he responded, “With great power comes great responsibility.” He also tagged Stan Lee in the post for helping bring the phrase to comics when he wrote Amazing Fantasy #15 (drawn by Steve Ditko), which featured the debut of the wall-crawler back in 1962.

That issue introduced fans to the legendary superhero, with a generic narrative -- unspoken by any character -- denoting "that in this world, with great power there must also come -- great responsibility!"

The phrase has since become a cornerstone of the comics industry and has been retconned for use in various cartoons such as Ultimate Spider-Man and in the Spidey movies, as well, as a line said by Uncle Ben to give the character agency in Peter Parker's life.

As such, Peter would remember it for decades to come, using it as fuel in his superhero career and even passing it down to budding heroes like Franklin Richards in comics. With Levi paying tribute in this manner, it looks like he has the right sentimental approach to the character, and is truly ready to service loyalists of both DC and Marvel when Billy Batson (Asher Angel) transforms into Levi's mystically-powered superhero.
