Shazam, The Killer, Heroes: November 2nd Comic Reel Wrap

According to a video interview at MTV, the fans have spoken and they'd like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to play Black Adam in the big screen adaptation. The actor approves of the choice.

A story at Variety notes that director David Fincher will direct the movie adaptation of the Matz/Luc Jacamon graphic novel. Allesandro Camon will write the script, Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment and Alexandra Milchan are producing.

CBR News has video previews of next week's episode "Out Of Time."

An article in the Hollywood Reporter, the big screen adaptation will not be a spin off of the "Justice League" movie. Director David Dobkin said he liked the simplicity of the character's powers. "Because of that simplicity," Dobkin said, "it is easy to design a theme and a story around what his inner life is in comparison to his superpower."

TV Guide is confirming that Black Canary will come to Kansas, played by Canadian actress Alaina Huffman. Thanks to Rich Sands for sending that along.

The publication also has a feature on actress Helen Slater coming to the series. "You know how people love this kind of stuff," Slater said. "After learning that Krypton is going to be destroyed, I go through a portal to Smallville to see where my baby will be raised ... because [her husband] Jor-El has already been to Earth and picked the Kents to be Clark's family."

Finally, Kryptonsite has screen captures from the promo for next week's episode, "Wrath."
