The following contains spoilers for Shazam! Fury of the Gods and potential spoilers for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods star Jack Dylan Grazer may have spoiled the appearance of a major Justice Leaguer in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Grazer, who plays the Shazamily's Freddy Freeman in the DC Universe, sat down with co-star Asher Angel for a Fandom Entertainment interview (via YouTube), during which he discussed actor Gal Gadot making a cameo as Wonder Woman in Fury of the Gods. Grazer shared his experience on set, saying, "Gal Gadot flew in from London that day, and she was like 'Are you filming the Shazam! movie?'" After describing Gadot as "mystique" and comparing her to a mermaid, Grazer recalled Gadot saying, "You guys are filming Shazam! 2. I just got off the set of Aquaman. It's very good to see you."

Respectively following the DCU films Shazam! (2019) and Aquaman (2018), the sequels Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom started filming in mid-2021 around the same time, and both will release in 2023. While Gadot may have simply visited the set of The Lost Kingdom on the way to filming her Fury of the Gods cameo, another possibility is that she also shot scenes for the Aquaman sequel. Grazer does note that when Gadot arrived on set for her Fury of the Gods cameo, she was already in her Woman Woman costume after she "just got off the set of Aquaman."

DC Just Can't Keep Wonder Woman Cameos Under Wraps

If Gadot does appear in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, it will be the third DCU movie in 2023 to have its Wonder Woman cameo spoiled ahead of release. A week before Fury of the Gods hit theaters, promos for the film showed that Wonder Woman makes an appearance, causing director David F. Sandberg to issue a warning for fans wanting to "go in fresh." As for The Flash, releasing months between Fury of the Gods and The Lost Kingdom, Funko POP! figures unveiled for the movie reveal that it also features Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman's DCU Future Is Uncertain

What has not been confirmed as of writing, however, is whether Gadot's Wonder Woman has a long-lasting future in the DCU. Following the DC Studios shakeup placing James Gunn and Peter Safran in charge as co-CEOs, the only Wonder Woman-related project announced as part of the duo's plans is Paradise Lost, a prequel series exploring Themyscira, AKA "Paradise Island," Wonder Woman's home. Gunn did respond to a rumor that Gadot had been removed from the DCU in Dec. 2022, saying, "I'm not sure where you're getting that we 'booted' Gal." He has since implied that Wonder Woman will appear in the DCU's new chapter, "Gods and Monsters," showing up sooner rather than later.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is now playing in theaters. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to release Dec. 25, 2023.
