Shazam! Film's Funko Pop! Figures Spoil a Major Plot Point

UPDATE 1/24/2019: The images originally included in this story have been removed at the request of Warner Bros.

It was only a couple of days ago that star Zachary Levy unveiled the upcoming Funko POP! figure of his title character in the upcoming Warner Bros. film, Shazam! However, it appears that Billy Batson's magical alter ego may not be the only super-powered character coming in the film.

Images of two other figures from Funko's line of POP!s based on the film have arrived online, and they reveal that, as in the comic books, Billy Batson's foster family will get magical personas of their own.

The pictures reveal a look at Eugene and Darla's superhero alter egos. Both can be seen wearing costumes that resemble Shazam's red outfit, with one that is light grey and the other purple, respectively.

Last year, it was reported that Billy's foster brothers and sisters had been added to the cast of the movie. According to the report, Mary, Eugene, Darla and Pedro would appear in the film, alongside Jack Dylan Grazer's Freddy Freeman and Asher Angel's Billy Batson.

In the New 52 comic books, Billy would come to share the magic of his powers with his foster brothers and sisters, effectively creating an entire new team of superheroes: the Shazam Family. Like Billy, they are all able to transform into fully-grown, super-powered heroes at the mention of the word "Shazam!"

While we knew that Billy's extended family would appear in the film, this marks the first confirmation that their magical, super-powered alter egos will appear in the film. This means that a major development from the film has just been revealed thanks to these figures. Earlier this month, a children's book sparked rumors that we might see the Shazam Family in the film, and these Funko POP! figures seem to confirm it.

This surprising news follows the recent revelation that Doctor Sivana will not only have superpowers of his own in Shazam!, but also a past closely tied to the Rock of Eternity and the Wizard.
