As production continues on DC Films and New Line Cinema's Shazam!, the cast appears to have grown by five as the upcoming DCEU film has filled out its Marvel Family -- or, as it was rebranded with The New 52, The Shazam Family.

Reportedly, The OC alum Adam Brody has joined the feature as an adult Freddy Freeman, and he's joined by another four actors who will round out the adult versions of the cinematic Shazam Family.

Brody will be joined by Michelle Borth (Hawaii Five-0), Ross Butler (13 Reasons Why), D. J. Cotrona (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), and Meagan Good (Minority Report) as the film's Shazam Family.

In the New 52 origin of Shazam, DC had Billy Batson’s foster family shares in his magic, becoming adult superheroes alongside him. This is seemingly the case for the film version of the franchise.

While none of these castings have been confirmed by DC and New Line, it's expected that Brody will play Freddy Freeman, while Borth will play Mary, Butler will play Eugene, Cotrona will play Pedro, and Good will play Darla. The news comes after Mr. Will Wong spotted a slew of the new additions around Toronto -- where the film is currently in production -- earlier this month.

Interestingly enough, both Brody and Cotrona were both involved in George Miller's failed Justice League Mortal, with Brody having been cast as the Flash, and Cotrona having been cast as Superman. That film, of course, was shelved by Warner Bros. back in 2008 amid a writers strike, concerns about Australian tax incentives and the possibility of an actors strike.
