Shazam, G.I. Joe, Iron Man: February 25th Comic Reel Wrap


According to IESB, director Peter Segal revealed that the film will actually be called "Billy Batson and the Legend of Shazam."


A report on the website for the Czech Film Commission shows that the gun-toting production is headed to the European country to film.

On the trailer front, Dark Horizons had this to say: "the next trailer for the film, this one featuring more Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) and Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) is rumored to be premiering with '10,000 B.C.' on March 7th." Good to know.

Will Dr. Harleen Quinzel make an appearance? A note on actress Sarah Jane Dunn's management page claims she worked in the sequel, playing the female foil for the Clown Prince of Crime.

Speaking of guns, comics and movies, actor Doug Hutchison let slip some spoilers in this interview with Italian site Comicus. Without letting all the cats out of their respective bags, he said, "This movie will be nothing like any of the previous 'Punisher' films. In fact, it's not a sequel. It's its own entity. 'Punisher: War Zone' is going to blow you away visually. It will be very close to the "look" of the graphic novel. The lighting, the sets, the costumes, the style: all of it is going to have a dynamic gothic gritty urban timeless feel. I think it's going to look as stunning as something like 'Blade Runner.'"


In a story at Newsarama, writer Michael Green (coincidentally) noted that he was hard at work on bringing some Oan energy to Earth. "I'm co-writing it with Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, the best people you could hope to get stuck in a room with for any length of time," Green said. "As for status, we're writing it now and having way too much fun doing it."


ABC News is reporting that the production is moving from New Zealand to Australia. "Wolverine's producers have chosen Sydney as the base for this production ahead of Canada, thanks to our key infrastructure at Fox Studios and our talented crew base," said New South Wales Premier Morris Iemma.

A story at Film School Rejects claims that actor Kevin Durand will play Fred Dukes, The Blob.

Finally, there's shots at Just Jared showing actors Liev Schreibner and Dominic Monaghan (who play Sabretooth and Beak respectively) enjoying lunch together in Sydney, Australia.
