Shazam! Fury of the Gods star Zachary Levi has dropped a short promo for the upcoming DC Extended Universe film, teasing more to come at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

Levi posted the Fury of the Gods promo to Instagram. The video features a few close-up shots of Shazam's new costume, with the silhouetted hero himself showing up to address the audience. "Just being a tease," he says, placing his hands on his hips. Levi's promo concludes by announcing that more material -- presumably the full trailer -- will be revealed at SDCC on Saturday, July 23. Warner Bros.' upcoming Shazam! spinoff film, Black Adam, will also have a strong presence at the convention that day.

Starring Asher Angel as Billy Batson and Levi as his superhero alter ego, Shazam (originally known in the comics as Captain Marvel), Shazam! premiered in theaters in April 2019 as the seventh entry in the DCEU. A direct sequel, Fury of the Gods, was officially announced later that year.

Following a number of release date shuffles, Fury of the Gods is currently set to release in theaters later this year on Wednesday, Dec. 21. Angel and Levi reprise their respective roles, and are joined by numerous other returning cast members from the first Shazam! film. The upcoming sequel also features some major franchise newcomers, including Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren and Rachel Zegler.

"It's a much bigger movie than the first one," director David F. Sandberg recently said of Fury of the Gods. "There's so much stuff that I can't wait for people to see. I hope they put a lot of it in the trailer. I don't even care about spoilers, I'm just eager to show off our creatures, action, etc."

In the meantime, the aforementioned Black Adam is slated to hit the big screen on Friday, Oct. 21 -- two months before Fury of the Gods. Black Adam stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Teth-Adam, who was granted the power of Shazam before Billy Batson. In addition to the eponymous anti-hero itself, the spinoff film is to introduce the Justice Society of America (JSA) to the DCEU.
