DC and Warner Bros. have spent years, and millions of dollars, in the hopes of creating a cinematic universe that can rival Marvel's. Following one stumbling block after another, Wonder Woman and Aquaman appeared to turn the tide. Now Shazam! has the chance to continue that trend. But does it have any mid-credits or post-credits scenes to help keep the magic flowing?

The short answer is yes. After all, what kind of modern superhero movie would it be if there weren't some kind of stinger that left audiences hungry for more? Considering the track record for DC's movies, it makes sense that everyone involved would want viewers to become invested in what comes next. That's why Shazam! has a mid-credits scene that sets up for the inevitable sequel.

There's no indication yet that there will be a Shazam! sequel. However, given the success of Wonder Woman and Aquaman, it seems clear Warner Bros. has no problem continuing these franchises as long as they make money. If a follow-up is indeed in the cards, expect what goes on in the mid-credits scene lay the groundwork.

But that's not all. Surprisingly, the film includes an additional scene at the end of the credits. This one is less important when it comes to the future of the budding franchise, and the so-called DC Extended Universe as a whole. Instead, it's more about packing the movie with as much good-natured humor as possible. If you enjoy how Shazam! is able to set itself inside this superhero universe, while also making jokes about it, you'll enjoy what's waiting for you here.
