It's been several months since the Shazam! movie teased an official costume reveal, and still there's been no release. Direct David F. Sandberg recently addressed that delay on Twitter.Several months ago, Sandberg commented that Warner Bros. was ready to go public with the costume. They were even prepared for a potential leak as the movie began filming in February. However, the director now says that those plans have changed.

Multiple leaks from the set have given us several different looks at Shazam's costume, but it doesn't appear that Warner Bros. has plans to release any promotional material just yet. The decision seems to be out of Sandberg's hands at this point, and instead he is simply focusing on making a good movie. The experience has also helped him understand to keep his lips sealed about certain things until he is authorized to talk about them.

We have certainly seen enough of the costume at this point to get an idea of what it will look like and how well it will ultimately be received. However, if you're wondering when we can expect an actual release, that's yet to be determined.

Arriving in theaters on April 5, 2019, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Mark Strong as Doctor Sivana, Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, Jovan Armand as Pedro Pena, Ron Cephas Jones as the Wizard and Cooper Andrews and Marta Milans as foster parents Victor and Rosa Vasquez.
