As an antihero that has long served as a major antagonist to the Shazam Family, Black Adam's presence was teased in a deleted scene from director David F. Sandberg's Shazam!.

With the latest DC Extended Universe film being released on home video this week, a new deleted scene shows the victorious Shazam leading the rest of his family to the Rock of Eternity to take their seats on the ancient thrones. As the foster family observes their surroundings, Billy Batson's older sister Mary notices a seventh, unoccupied throne off to the side wondering who it belongs to.

"Well, whoever it is, I'm going to love them no matter what because they're an automatic part of the family," declares Darla Dudley.

Black Adam's existence was briefly alluded to by the wizard Shazam as his original champion who went astray. A solo film starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the fan-favorite character has been in development for years, recently signing Jaume Collet-Serra to direct. With the film back on track, Darla may soon be getting her wish, for better or worse.
