Shazam! Receives an Impressive CinemaScore Grade

While reactions to the announcement of a Shazam! movie were mixed, to say the least, the reviews show the film is a wide success.

Earlier today, the popular movie rating site, CinemaScore, gave Shazam! an "A" score, saying, "Congrats to @ShazamMovie on your A #CinemaScore grade! Audiences loved it." Other films this year to receive an "A" grading from the site include Dumbo, Fighting With My Family, Five Feet Apart and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.

CinemaScore isn't the only site to give Shazam! an excellent rating. RottenTomatoes gave the film 91%, making it "Certified Fresh." It also received a 7.8/10 from IMDB. Other DC films have received an "A" rating from CinemaScore, including 2013's Man of Steel and 2017's Wonder Woman.

For 35 years, CinemaScore has been providing grades for films, which are determined by surveying audience members and having them fill out a ballot card. The company is based in Las Vegas, NV.
