Warner Bros. unveiled new Shazam! Fury of the Gods footage featuring Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman to select audiences.

The studio presented a collection of clips from the upcoming DC Extended Universe blockbuster as part of a presentation at CinemaCon 2022, reports Screen Rant. This montage included a scene in which Shazam (Zachary Levi) and Wonder Woman meet for dinner in Paris. Wonder Woman ends the rendezvous prematurely after Billy Batson's superhero alter-ego tells her he "can't commit." Before she leaves, the Amazonian princess turns to look at Shazam but the wizard Merlin is standing in her place.

Rumors about Wonder Woman's involvement in Shazam! Fury of the Gods have circulated since December 2021. Subsequent comments by star Rachel Zegler in March 2022 further fueled speculation that the DCEU icon would appear in the upcoming sequel. Asked about working with Gal Gadot on Disney's live-action Snow White in an interview, Zegler responded "I'm not going to say much, but [filming Snow White] wasn't our first meeting." From this, many fans deduced that the actors could have previously encountered each other on the Shazam 2 set.

Wonder Woman will also reportedly crop up in another forthcoming DCEU installment. A recent test screening leak claims that Gadot appears alongside Ezra Miller's Flash and Ben Affleck's Batman in 2023's The Flash. The trio of Justice League members allegedly share 10-15 minutes of screen time early in the film, with Wonder Woman saving Batman's life at one point.

Set photos from Batgirl also confirm that the HBO Max exclusive will include at least one reference to Gadot's last solo outing, Wonder Woman 1984. An unofficial set photo shows a van sporting the Stagg Enterprises logo, a direct callback to WW84 character Simon Stagg, played by Oliver Cotton. It's currently unclear whether the logo is a simple Easter egg or a sign that Stagg or Wonder Woman will appear in Batgirl. Neither Cotton nor Gadot is officially attached to the production at this stage.

While the Amazonian's presence is still keenly felt in the DCEU, there's still no word on when fans can expect Wonder Woman 3. Gadot offered an update on the threequel's progress in April 2022, reassuring fans that the production continues to move forward. "We’re actually in the mix of working on the script and getting the third one made," she said. "So it’s all wheels are working and turning and I’m super, super excited for the fans to come and watch Wonder Woman 3 once it’s made."

Shazam! Fury of the Gods premieres in theaters on Dec. 16.
