Shazam! Fury of the Gods star Rachel Zegler hinted that Gal Gadot's rumored Wonder Woman cameo could be more fact than fiction.

With the actor set to star opposite Gadot in Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Zegler suggested during a recent interview that she actually first met Gadot on Fury of the Gods. "I'm not going to say much," Zegler teased during an interview with Empire magazine, "but [filming Snow White] wasn't our first meeting."

Considering Fury of the Gods is scheduled to release later this year, with Snow White not due out until sometime in 2023, Zegler's response seems to suggest the Shazam! sequel was where she first met Gadot. It's difficult to say what the nature of Zegler and Gadot's potential interaction will be in the film, as details regarding Zegler's character are being kept tightly under wraps. But fans were still able to grab a sneak peek at Zegler's costume when a set video and images from the film revealed the actor wearing an armored outfit with a golden cape.

Zegler's words come after reports of a Wonder Woman cameo in Shazam! 2 surfaced in December 2021. If the rumors prove true, Fury of the Gods will mark Gadot's fifth appearance as Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Cinematic universe after she last played the Amazonian demigod in 2020's Wonder Woman 1984. The cameo may also serve to promote the next Wonder Woman film, as Gadot confirmed last November that the script for Wonder Woman 3 is currently being worked on.

Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg hinted at when fans might expect the film's first full trailer to drop. Though Sandberg admitted he has "no idea" when the trailer will be released, he did hint at a potential Shazam! 2 trailer during this year's DC FanDome. While the 2022 virtual event has yet to receive a start date, it could potentially kick off sometime between this summer and fall based on the dates of 2020 and 2021's respective FanDomes.

After recently having its release date moved up by four and a half months, Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters Dec. 16.
