One of the parents who watches over the newly minted Marvel family in 2019's Shazam! will return for Shazam! 2.

"Honestly, I was talking to our writers and told them to do whatever they want," Marta Milans, who plays Rosa Vasquez, told LRM Online. "But, make sure that Mama Rosa has her own cape, and she can fly. I really want to fly in the sequel. I don’t know if they’ll listen to me. I don’t know if they’ll listen to me. I don’t know if they’ll give me a cape, but Mama Rosa will be present."

As Mama Rosa, Milans was the foster mother to Billy Batson and Freddy Freeman, and four other children -- Darla Dudley, Mary Bromfield, Eugene Choi and Pedro Peña -- in a Philadelphia group home.

Although Shazam! 2 was expected to begin filming this summer, production has been delayed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! 2 stars Zachary Levi as Shazam, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Asher Angel as Billy Batson and Marta Milans as Mama Rosa. The film arrives in theaters Nov. 4, 2022.
