As pre-production moves forward on a sequel to Shazam! and the long-planned Black Adam, the projected start dates for the two DC Extended Universe movies have begun to line up.

A report cites that both films are expected to begin principal photography this July, with David F. Sandberg listed as returning to helm the Shazam! sequel after previously directing the original film. Filming locations for neither production have been confirmed.

While their filming schedules do align, don't expect either film to crossover into the other. Shazam star Zachary Levi stated that Black Adam would appear in Shazam 3 at the earliest, shutting down rumors that the antihero would cameo in Shazam 2. Similarly, the Shazam Family is not expected to appear in Black Adam.

In the meantime, Black Adam is poised to officially introduce the Justice Society of America to the DCEU, giving the eponymous character plenty of potential allies -- or enemies -- to square off against in his live-action debut.
