Shawn Hatosy Joins AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead" in Recurring Role

Shawn Hatosy has joined AMC's "Fear The Walking Dead" in a recurring role, Deadline reports.

In this "Walking Dead" spinoff, Hatosy will play an as-of-yet unnamed character, who is "a well-intentioned but out of his element military man with a soulful disposition." His past credits include "Southland," "Alpha Dogs," "Anywhere But Here" and "The Faculty." He joins a growing cast that includes Colman Domingo, Mercedes Mason, Ruben Blades, Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey.

AMC has already given the series a two season order, meaning that viewers may eventually see how the LA-based "Fear" syncs up with the Atlanta-set "Walking Dead." Before that happens, however, viewers will get to see a show set in pre-apocalypse times, as revealed in the series' first photos.

"Fear the Walking Dead" debuts this August on AMC.
