“Basic Instinct” star Sharon Stone is about to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During an appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” she revealed she will appear in an upcoming Marvel film — but never specified which one.
Since she appeared on the show with “Captain America: Civil War” star Sebastian Stan, Corden asked if she’d consider being in a superhero film, to which she answered, “I am going to do a Marvel movie.”
“I’m just doing a wee part in a Marvel movie, upcoming, and I can’t tell, because you know, you have to sign confidentiality agreements,” she clarified. “But I’m going to do a wee part in a Marvel movie now. That’s it.”
Stan expressed his own surprise at the news, as he wasn’t aware Stone had signed to a Marvel film. No details are yet known about her role.
Stone’s past credits also include “Casino,” “Total Recall” and “The Quick and the Dead.” She most recently appeared in “Mother’s Day” and had recurring roles on “Agent X” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and more, “Captain America: Civil War” — the latest installment of the MCU — is now in theaters.
