Guillermo del Toro's fantasy drama The Shape of Water has been nominated for seven Golden Globe Awards, including Best Drama, Best Director and Best Screenplay. Stars Sally Hawkins, Octavia Spencer and Richard Jenkins were also recognized for their performances.

Presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the nominees for the 75th Golden Globe Awards were announced this morning from the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

In the television division, Netflix's Stranger Things earned nods for Best Drama and Best Supporting Actor, for David Harbour.

The winners will be presented Jan. 7 during a ceremony broadcast live on NBC.
