Throughout his adventures in the Marvel Universe, Deadpool has faced some formidable opponents in his day. From Ajax to T-Ray, Wade Wilson almost always wins in a fight, showing how dangerous he truly is. And on one occasion, Deadpool killed Shang-Chi's foe, Razor-Fist, who is soon to make his MCU debut.

The original Razor-Fist first appeared in 1975's Master of Kung-Fu #29, by Doug Moench and Paul Gulacy. William Young was an assassin hired as a bodyguard by Carlton Velcro. Young's hands were replaced by steel blades, turning him into Razor-Fist. These blades gave Razor-Fist a real edge against opponents like Shang-Chi.

After Young died, he was replaced by Douglas and William Scott, who first appeared in 1981's Master of Kung Fu #105, by Doug Moench and Gene Day. Douglas and William were brothers who pretended to be the same person. Each brother had lost one hand in a car accident, replacing their respective hands with long steel blades. As mercenaries, Douglas and William were also called Razor-Fist, due to their incredible speed.

These Razor-Fists were also hired by Velcro, and they were also beaten by Shang-Chi. Moreover, William died when he was shot by Velcro, just like the original Razor-Fist. After his brother's death, Douglas replaced his remaining hand with another blade.

Since then, Razor-Fist has worked as an assassin for several other crime lords, including Roche of Madripoor and New York supervillain the Hood. Even though Razor-Fist was introduced as a Shang-Chi foe, his career as a mercenary has led him into conflict with other Marvel heroes. Razor-Fist has taken on characters such as Spider-Man and Wolverine during his expansive career.

By the time Razor-Fist met his end in 2018's Deadpool: Assassin #2 by Cullen Bunn and Mark Bagley, he had joined up with the Assassins Guild. The guild was hunting a man named Charles Hedler, who Deadpool had been hired to protect. While defending Hedler, Deadpool dispatched other assassins such as Nakh and Harvester. When Wade was confronted by Razor-Fist, things got particularly brutal.

Deadpool was intercepted on a trolley by Razor-Fist, where Douglas threatened Deadpool and ridiculed his career choice. In response, Deadpool mocked Razor-Fist with his usual quips and called Douglas out for his lack of honor. The fight seemed fairly even until Deadpool gruesomely cut off one of the Razor-Fists hands.

The blade was sent flying off the trolley and right into Harvester's face, killing the other assassin. Yet The Merc With The Mouth didn't stop there. Deadpool dragged Razor-Fist to the front of the trolley, opened the door, and held Razor-Fist's face against the pavement, all while the trolley was still moving.

This death was extremely brutal, destroying Razor-Fist's face. It's amazing that Deadpool did so well against Razor-Fist, considering his history with Marvel's best fighters, including Shang-Chi and Wolverine. Deadpool's fairly easy fight against Razor-Fist is a prime example of how deadly Wade Wilson can be. Not only did Wade kill Razor-Fist, but he also managed to kill another assassin, Harvester, in the process.

It's true that Razor-Fist wasn't one of Shang-Chi's biggest physical threats, but he still put up a good fight. If Razor-Fist can go toe to toe with Shang-Chi, he's a serious threat to pretty much anyone else. Moreover, the way Deadpool killed Razor-Fist demonstrated how merciless Wade can be, compared to foes like Shang-Chi and even Wolverine. Even though Razor Fist had the skills to fight Shang-Chi, he was truly unprepared for Deadpool's ruthlessness.
