"The Predator" may have just posted its first cast photo earlier this week, but that cast was not complete. Hollywood Reporter has learned that Yvonne Strahovski is in final negotiations to join the cast of Shane Black's "The Predator."

Strahovski, most known for her role on NBC's spy series "Chuck" and her recent appearance in "24: Live Another Day," will play the mother of cast mate Jacob Tremblay's character and the ex-wife of Boyd Holbrook's character. THR describes Tremblay as "a troubled boy who is accidentally drawn into the conflict with the fierce alien creatures by his father... played by Holbrook."

There’s not a lot known about the film itself. The film has slowly filled out its cast over the past few months, but an official synopsis for the film has not yet been released. We do know, though, that the film will be bloody and rated R.

“The Predator” will be Black’s follow-up to 2016’s “The Nice Guys,” a ’70s thriller that starred Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. The next “Predator” film will be the first in the franchise since 2010’s “Predators.” In addition to directing "The Predator," Black also co-wrote the screenplay with Fred Dekker.

Written and directed by Shane Black, “The Predator” stars Olivia Munn, Boyd Holbrook, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Yvonne Strahovski and 50 Cent. The film is scheduled for release in theaters on Feb. 9, 2018.
