Most sequels look to make things bigger and better than their predecessors and Shane Black's The Predator is no exception.

In a new featurette for AMC Theatres, Black and the cast of the upcoming sequel reveal that they believe the new film is the biggest, scariest movie in the entire franchise.

"With Predator, there's another level of menace, of terror The Predator can take," explained Sterling K. Brown about the film's escalating scale and sense of horror.

"This is the scariest one," agreed Black. "We're upgrading the Predator to the next level of deadliness."

With the sequel having a Predator hunted by a genetically-enhanced ultimate Predator with humanity caught in the crossfire, the film's themes of the hunt evolving is as much a narrative element as it is a mission statement for the filmmakers.

"We love growing this thing," observed Black. "Trying to encompass in one movie all the genre things that we love."

Directed by Shane Black from a script he wrote with Fred Dekker, The Predator stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Jane Thomas, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski. The film arrives in theaters on September 14.
