Odinson, the long-time ruler of Asgard and defender of Earth, is one of the greatest heroes in the entire Marvel universe. In terms of both his heroic actions and also the Asgardian's raw power, Thor is absolutely unmatched.

Despite all of the good Thor has done over the course of his very long life, he has also done some bad. Even Marvel's most popular god has had his moments of falling from grace. Here are the top ten most shameless thing Thor has ever done.

10 Re-Empowered Loki

Loki telling stories

Loki has been a supervillain in Marvel comics since his inception back in the '60s. He has caused havoc across the universe, and his actions have hurt and killed countless innocence. For these reasons, it seems a bit disconcerting that Thor decided to bring his evil brother back.

Loki was in a state where he had lost his memories and all of his powers. Simply due to loneliness, Thor brought his brother back to his former glory. This inevitably led to Loki returning to his life as a supervillain once again.

9 Cheated On Jane

Known for being a ladies man, it's no surprise that Thor has had his fair share of lovers. Women across the universe are enchanted by his big muscles and long, flowing hair. That being the case, it is no less despicable that he chose to cheat on his former love, Jane Foster.

Not only did Thor cheat on his longtime girlfriend, but he also managed to make the situation a bit worse. He waited to tell Jane about his affairs until later on in her life when she had cancer. The news didn't exactly aid in her recovery.

8 Broke A Treaty

Odin, long ago, signed a peace treaty with the storm giants of Niffleheim. This treaty was monumental in bringing peace to both worlds and keeping the many citizens of both worlds safe from the prospect of a long and deadly war.

Thor almost ruined all of this. Part of the treaty dictated that no more Asgardians were allowed in Niffleheim. A monster Thor was hunting ran to Niffleheim, he carelessly chased it and was met with the many forces of the storm giants. Odin was furious at his son's malfeasance, for good reason.

7 Went On A Rampage

Odin has stripped Thor of his powers on a few different occasions. After one of these times, Thor was so distraught that he briefly went insane. The thunder god then went on a rampage, fighting multiple heroes and leaving devastation in his wake.

Thor was so out of control that his allies sought out Thanos for help. In the end, it was the famous Avengers villain that was able to stop Thor long enough for his friends to bring him back to reality.

6 Worked For Doom

During the Secret Wars event back in 2015, Doctor Doom was able to harness the powers of the Beyonder and become a god. Crafting a new world built from many realities that had collided into each other, Doom was then known as God Emperor Doom.

As with any ruler, Doom needed an elite task force to help in policing his world. For this, he chose the Thor Corp. Within the Thor Corp were several Thors from multiple realities, including the mainstream Thor. These soldiers did Doom's evil bidding which helped Doom greatly keep his reign of terror intact.

5 Murdered Loki

Thor fighting Loki

Although Loki is a vicious enemy of Thor, there are some lines that heroes just shouldn't cross. Chosen as the successor of Odin, Thor is expected to be better than his enemies. Even that of his brother.

During one of their many confrontations, Thor failed in this respect. After Loki tricked Hoder into killing his brother, Balder, Thor had finally had enough. After the fight that follows, it becomes clear to Thor that his brother will continue wanting to murder his many friends and family. Motivated by rage, Thor uses his hammer to drain Loki of his life force, murdering him.

4 Encouraged Mass Murder

Early on in Thor's interactions with the people of Earth, the thunder god gleefully encouraged his human followers to fight in his name. Hundreds, if not thousands, of Thor's followers, did exactly this. Their violence, however, was not exactly honorable.

Unbeknownst to Thor, these worshipers weren't having battles with evil enemies. Instead, they were sweeping through innocent civilizations, murdering innocent men, women, and even children. Although this can't be blamed completely on Thor, his willful ignorance speaks volumes.

3 War With Earth

In Thor #68, the comic series flash-forwards to what was then thought of as the distant future of the year 2020. In this near future, Thor has become the ruler of Asgard and has chosen to go to war with the people of Earth.

As is to be expected, Asgard comes out victorious. Thor then claims Earth as his domain, ruling over it as a dictator. The conditions he puts his citizens under aren't very good, and it is only due to some time-travel shenanigans that these wrongs are later undone.

2 Joined Hydra

Captain America Mjolnir

When Captain America (not the real Captain America) was revealed to be a secret, sleeper Hydra agent, the world was shaken. This evil Cap used his power and influence to take over the United States in the name of a new, powerful Hydra regime. In response, several heroes went underground and started a resistance.

After witnessing this Hydra Captain America lift the hammer Mjolnir, Thor decided that he should join their ranks, even knowing all the evil they had done in the past. This included their connection to the Nazi's. Although this wasn't the first time Thor aligned himself with Nazis.

1 Joined Hitler

Yes, that is right. During World War II, Thor allied himself with one of the evilest people in human history: Adolf Hitler. Hitler convinced Thor that he is merely trying to free the Russian people from their evil masters.

Without question, Thor immediately joins the Nazi regime. Although he later turned on Hitler, it is unbelievably horrible that he spent any time at all fighting alongside such a vile person.
