Warner Bros. Promises 'More Shaft Than You Can Handle' in Tomorrow's Trailer

The upcoming sequel to 2000's Shaft has released a stylish, new poster featuring its main cast including all three generations of the titular, crimefighting family.

Posted on the film's official Twitter account, the poster shows Samuel L. Jackson, Richard Roundtree and newcomer Jessie Usher outfitted in matching orange trench coats and black turtlenecks with Regina King and the tagline "More Shaft Than You Can Handle" displayed over the Manhattan skyline in the background. The Twitter post also promises a first trailer for the film to premiere sometime tomorrow.

A sequel to the Jackson-starring revival of the series released in 2000, itself a sequel of sorts to the original trilogy and television series starring Roundtree in the 70s, the new film will introduce John Shaft III, portrayed by Usher.

The sequel is expected to follow Usher's character reconcile with his estranged father, John Shaft II portrayed by Jackson, as he teams up with him and Roundtree's original Shaft to solve a Harlem murder mystery.
