With the popularity of The Boys at an all-time high thanks to the new TV series, many are regarding the heroes of this universe as part of general pop culture. The dark, twisted version of the Justice League that appears in The Boys, known as The Seven, are some truly frightening characters, especially in regards to Homelander.

However, as strong as this unit of heroes is, some teams are still far more powerful. While The Seven could deliver a truly horrific beating, there are still plenty of other teams out there who could put them in their place. To look at some of these teams, here is our list of 5 superteams The Seven can defeat, and 5 they can’t.

10 The Suicide Squad (Can Beat)

As a team of some of the deadliest supervillains around, the Suicide Squad still lacks a lot in terms of raw power. Furthermore, since the team is mostly comprised of very expendable characters, almost no one is going to be powerful enough. The Seven, on the other hand, are all incredibly powerful and are essentially a slightly depowered Justice League.

Due to the similar structure of both teams, it is pretty apparent that the Suicide Squad wouldn’t stand much of a chance. Not only are they at a disadvantage in terms of power, but The Seven can also match them in terms of brutality, making The Seven the obvious winners.

9 The Justice League (Can’t Beat)

Considering how The Seven is based on the Justice League, it would make sense that the original team would be far more powerful. Furthermore, the Justice League has teamed with all sorts of other heroes over the years, making just about every iteration of the team more powerful than The Seven.

Even with The Seven’s more brutal approach, the Justice League would easily be able to take them down. While some members of both teams would have a harder time with members of the opposite, the Justice League is almost guaranteed to emerge victorious.

8 The Guardians of the Galaxy (Can Beat)

While The Guardians of the Galaxy have taken on some very powerful threats, they likely wouldn’t fare well against the likes of The Seven. Though both Drax and Gamora are both incredible and brutal fighters, The Seven is far stronger and more powerful, meaning the two would have a very difficult time against the team.

Likewise, Rocket and Groot would likely put up a better fight, but The Seven is far too durable for them to do too much damage. Even with the addition of Star-Lord and all the advanced technology the Guardians have, they just aren’t powerful enough to take on The Seven.

7 The Avengers (Can’t Beat)

Avengers Ensemble Wolverine Comic

Even though the Justice League is typically more powerful than the Avengers, the Avengers would still be able to take on The Seven. While Homelander alone would give many individual Avengers a run for their money, there are still plenty of Marvel heroes who could easily take him down.

Though The Seven would put up a better fight with the Avengers than they would the Justice League, the Avengers are still more likely to come out on top. Even without the Avenger’s advantage in numbers, they generally tend to have members that are simply just more powerful than The Seven.

6 The Defenders (Can Beat)

Over the years, The Defenders have had quite a different roster. Looking specifically at the most recent installment of the team though, it is pretty apparent that The Seven would dominate. Against street-level heroes such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, The Seven not only outmatch them in numbers but abilities as well.

Even with heavy hitters like Jessica Jones on The Defenders, she isn’t quite strong enough to take on someone like Queen Maeve or Homelander. With far more powerful people on The Seven as well, it would likely be a very humiliating defeat for The Defenders.

5 The X-Men (Can’t Beat)

The X-Men are arguably the most powerful superteam in all of comics. With an incredibly wide cast and fluid roster, the team has accomplished all sorts of things since their debut. Though the X-Men’s theoretical victory over The Seven does depend on the roster itself, most iterations of the mutant team would easily be able to take The Seven down.

Even though bigger and more popular characters like Wolverine or Cyclops wouldn't be the most effective characters against The Seven, the entire X-Men team as a whole would undoubtedly be the victor in a showdown between them.

4 Thunderbolts (Can Beat)

Like the Suicide Squad, the Thunderbolts have held a very inconsistent roster over the years. Comprised mostly of villains, the Thunderbolts have done some pretty devastating things over the years, albeit individually as well. However, for all the horrible things they may have done, The Seven is still far more powerful.

While the Thunderbolts could easily match them in regards to brutality, The Seven could easily take them, even if the Thunderbolts had one of their strongest rosters. Furthermore, Homelander alone would be able to take many of the members by himself. With support from the rest of the group factored in, the Thunderbolts wouldn’t stand much of a chance.

3 Fantastic Four (Can’t Beat)

Even with three fewer members on their team, the Fantastic Four would still be able to beat The Seven. Between the four of them, they are all incredibly powerful and have managed to defeat villains that threaten all of existence. Likewise, Reed Richards' scientific mind alone has developed some of the most advanced technology imaginable within the Marvel universe.

With their combined efforts, along with the advanced technology at their disposal, the Fantastic Four would easily be able to subdue The Seven. Even with their brutality, The Seven wouldn’t be able to do much permanent damage to Marvel’s first family.

2 Teen Titans (Can Beat)

Much like The Seven themselves, the Teen Titans are effectively a slightly weaker version of the Justice League. Though it may put the two teams on an equal playing field in terms of raw power, The Seven have an advantage in being far more brutal than the young heroes.

While the Titans would definitely be able to hold their own against The Seven, The Seven would ultimately be the ones to win out in the end. With a bit more experience under their belt and far more brutal tactics, the Teen Titans would have a hard time emerging victorious.

1 Justice Society of America (Can’t Beat)

While the Justice Society of America has many similar powers as members of the Justice League, they have the added advantage of additional, more unique abilities as well. Though many members of the Justice Society are a bit older, they have proven countless times that they are still able to fight against evil. Against The Seven, the Justice Society would arguably be able to take them down, thanks to their experience and abilities.

Furthermore, the justice Society could arguably take down the Justice League themselves, though they would have a difficult time doing so. Since the League is far more powerful than The Seven though, it would make sense that the Society would be able to beat them as well.
