10 The Power Of "Ocean" Reminds People How Scary Water Can Be

Tarmiel of the Four Archangels Seven Deadly Sins

Tarmiel of The Four Archangels uses the grace of Ocean to do battle. When he fought against members of the 10 commandments, he overwhelmed a number of them with ease. During the second Holy War, Tarmiel used this power in conjunction with Sariel's Tornado grace to disastrous levels when they fought Estarossa - later to be identified as Mael. It looked a lot like an apocalypse on the battlefield and made people realize that the Archangels are to be feared.

9 "Ominus Nebula" Makes Zeldris A Truly Fearsome Foe

Zeldris activating Ominus Nebula Seven Deadly Sins

Ominus Nebula is the magic ability used by Zeldris, the second son of the Demon King and Meliodas' younger brother. This ability works by creating a very powerful drive that circulates around Zeldris and pulling in his targets. When they get close, an invisible yet powerful force unleashes a devastating attack on the targets, leaving them damaged and unable to fight. Only Escanor and Mael were seen to have been able to withstand it.

8 "Flash" Is Brilliant Power Befitting An Archangel

Ludociel using Flash The Seven Deadly Sins

Ludociel of The Four Archangels wields the grace of Flash, and with it, he is one of the toughest opponents in the series. Even the elite 10 commandments feared his power and resorted to drastic measures when Ludociel joined the fray in one of their battles.

Even in his weakest state, he fought on superior grounds against the Original Demon whom Escanor had a tough time fighting. This power easily makes Ludociel one of the strongest in the goddess race and in the series as a whole.

7 "Disaster" Makes Fairy King Harlequin Quite Scary

Fairy King Harlequin The Grizzly's Sin Of Sloth has the magical ability of Disaster. With this power, Harlequin is quite the terrifying opponent. He uses this power to control nature and rule over the Fairy Realm. What makes this power particularly deadly is the fact that it can turn any little physical problem into a disaster as befits its name. He can make a scratch easily become a life-threatening wound, use water as a bullet, and has a variety of ways he can toy with his foes. Using his Sacred Treasure - the Spirit Spear, Chastiefol - Harlequin's power of disaster is even more disastrous.

6 "The Ruler" Makes It Nearly Impossible To Have A Fair Fight Against The Demon King

The Demon King with his power "The Ruler"

This is the magic power belonging to the Demon King himself. With it, the Demon King can inverse all magic attacks that come his way. When he was up against Meliodas and Ban, the Demon King used this power to make Ban's Snatch power give him strength instead of taking it away. Ban and Meliodas fought for 60 years in purgatory and this power left them in the dust each time. This power made the Demon King the deadliest opponent the Sins ever faced in the series.

5 Gowther Uses "Invasion" To Mess With People's Minds

Gowther using Invasion Seven Deadly Sins

Invasion is the magic power belonging to Gowther, The Goat's Sin Of Lust. Gowther uses this power to literally invade the minds of his foes and trap them in their own memories. He can also use it to read the minds of people and know their entire history. Holy Knight Grand-master Dreyfus said himself that this ability to get into people's minds should be feared above the rest of The Seven Deadly Sins.

4 "Infinity" Gives Merlin An Unfair Advantage Over Her Foes

Even her allies will agree that Merlin fights dirty. Dubbed the Boar's Sin Of Gluttony, Merlin is hungry not for food, but for knowledge and power. Using her magic power of infinity, Merlin can make herself impervious to attacks and leave her foes vulnerable to her own attacks.

She can out-rightly block her opponents from using their magic power. Thanks to this power, Merlin became the greatest wizard in all of Brittania. When he saw her in action against Chandler and Cusack, Ludociel confessed to being glad she wasn't their enemy.

Snatch is the magical ability of Ban the Fox's Sin Of Greed. Using this ability, Ban can snatch anything from objects to people. And if this ability wasn't deadly enough, Ban can even snatch someone's heart right out of their chest using Fox Hunt and kill them. Ban doesn't use the latter ability unless he really intends to swiftly dispatch an opponent. After his return from purgatory, this ability of his has only gotten more powerful.

The mighty Escanor - the Lion's Sin Of Pride utilizes the explosive power of Sunshine to deadly effect in battle. This power originally belonged to Mael of The Four Archangels before finding its way to Escanor. Escanor's power increases steadily along with the sunrise and he's at his peak at high noon. In this form, Escanor is nearly invincible. Escanor is able to use this power to create a pseudo Sun and unleash devastating attacks on his foes. Throughout the series, only three people can boast about remaining standing after Escanor unleashed his attacks.

1 "Full Counter" Is Offense & Defense In One

Meliodas using his Full Counter Seven Deadly Sins

The Dragon's Sin Of Wrath, Meliodas is best known for this technique as it was what viewers saw him use more often at the beginning of the series. With this magical ability, Meliodas is able to reflect any offensive spells coming his way at double the strength. Using his sacred treasure, Meliodas can use this ability even more effectively. The thing about Full Counter is that it can be used even with a magic amount of zero. Because most fights come down to magic attacks, this power is by far the most effective as even the mightiest spells can be reflected with minimal effort. Other characters in the series seen using Full Counter are Estarossa (Mael) and Chandler - the one who taught Meliodas to use Full Counter.
