The Seven Deadly Sins is home to some of anime's most overpowered characters. As such, it hosts a variety of amazing battles. Viewers have seen the Seven Deadly Sins go up against powerful foes like the Holy Knights Grand Masters and the 10 commandments in explosive battles.
Though the anime is yet to come close, it's worth looking back at the most exciting and thrilling battles in the show up until the current episodes. So far, the first 10 episodes of the current season have no shortage of fights. This is because it has been one battle after another for Stigma and the Demon Race forces.
10 Escanor VS. Meliodas
Meliodas tried to escape from Melascula's Cocoon Of Darkness, and in doing so, he lost his memories and emotions and stood before the Seven Deadly Sins as an enemy. The mighty Escanor stepped up to face him in a one-on-one battle.
Meliodas overpowered Escanor for a while, but Escanor was biding his time until high noon. With Escanor's power at its peak, Escanor used Divine Sword: Escanor and inflicted an almost fatal wound on Meliodas, which was enough to stop him from rampaging.
9 Tarmiel & Sariel VS. Estarossa
When confronted by Estarossa, the advance of the forces of Stigma came to a standstill. Estarossa was challenged by Tarmiel and Sariel, two of the Four Archangels seeking to avenge their fallen comrade, Mael.
This battle showcased the destructive might of Sariel and Tarmiel as they unleashed a barrage of attacks on Estarossa. At the height of these attacks was a combo spell known as Enlil's Divine Punishment. This spell was as destructive as it was terrifying, and it made viewers wonder what the great flood must have looked like.
8 Escanor Vs. The Original Demon
During their battle at Camelot, Escanor managed to cancel the Ominus Nebula and subdue Zeldris. Chandler and Cusack revealed that they were indeed The Original Demon split into two lesser demons after a failed attempt to claim the Demon King's throne.
They joined together and became The Original Demon again and took on Escanor, barely managing the reserve sun power stored in his ax. However, this reserve power wasn't enough to fight The Original Demon, and Escanor was thrust away from the fight.
7 King, Gowther, Elizabeth & Dianne VS. Mael
As it turned out, Gowther of The 10 Commandments had altered Mael's memory which made the latter believe he was Estarossa of The 10 Commandments. When his memories returned, Mael went on a rampage that claimed the life of Derieri. He nearly wiped out King, Gowther, Elizabeth, and Dianne.
Even King lost his pet, Oslo. Eventually, King reached an all-new high level of power that resulted in a transformation with his wings now fully grown. This tipped the scale in our heroes' favor and allowed them to subdue Mael.
6 The Seven Deadly Sins VS. Hendrickson
Holy Knight Grandmaster Hendrickson, who was being manipulated by a demon, sought to bring about the Demon Race's resurrection. In the battle that ensued, Hendrickson took the blood of a gray demon and became stronger.
He nearly wiped out all the Holy Knights in the capital. Meliodas came up with a plan to defeat him, and Gowther used his power to broadcast the plan to their allies. Using Revenge Counter, Meliodas was able to defeat Hendrickson and protect the nation.
5 Mael VS. Zeldris
Mael agreed to help fight to stop the war, and the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins went to Camelot. Armed with his Grace of Sunshine upon arrival, Mael easily eliminated the Original Demon with one powerful attack. Since magic is not that effective against Zeldris, Mael proceeded to engage Zeldris in melee combat.
The two struck out, looking evenly matched. When Zeldris went into a rage at the thought of his plans failing, he was attacked by Mael, who showed up behind him out of nowhere and struck him down.
4 Escanor VS. Zeldris
In their battle at Camelot, Zeldris' power—known as Ominus Nebula—put Ludociel, Escanor, Merlin, and the other Holy Knights at a disadvantage. Luckily the time stuck high noon when Escanor's power reaches its peak potential.
Escanor easily canceled the Ominus Nebula with this power with what looked like a karate chop and overwhelmed Zeldris. Zeldris backed away but was followed quickly by Escanor, who used Divine Spear: Escanor and landed a devastating blow on Zeldris.
3 Meliodas VS. The Demon King
Meliodas was split from his emotions which were held in Purgatory. Here Meliodas confronted the Demon King in an attempt to return to his friends. The Demon King tried tricking Meliodas into thinking Elizabeth was dead so he could despair and die in Purgatory. Still, this plan failed when Gowther used his power to show everyone to Meliodas.
This gave Meliodas the determination to keep fighting. Using a technique he learned from King, Meliodas condensed his dark power into bullet-like balls of darkness and unleashed a barrage of attacks on the Demon King.
2 Ban VS. Demon King Meliodas
After the Demon King took control of Moliodas' body, The Seven Deadly Sins found themselves at an overwhelming disadvantage. Ban showed up just in time to bail them out, and he took on the possessed Meliodas one on one. The battle went both ways as neither one of them was willing to let up.
It was amazing to watch Ban fight equally against the Demon King's power and even dominate him for a while. Hopefully, Ban's incredible newfound strength will be shown off again.
1 Escanor VS. Estarossa
When The 10 Commandments attacked the kingdom of Liones, it was up to The Seven Deadly Sins and the other Holy Knights to fight them off. Estarossa's commandment of love rendered Ban and other Holy Knights powerless.
All seemed lost until Escanor majestically walked up to Estarossa, who was shocked that Escanor could withstand the commandment. Their battle put many viewers on edge, but Escanor ultimately overwhelmed Estarossa and pushed Zeldris away with him as a bonus.
