As far as the members of the Seven Deadly Sins go, none of them possess the pure strength that Diane has. There may be stronger members of the group, but none of them can smash things like Diane can. Be it in human form or her giant form—she's always a force to be reckoned with.
She's also one of the few characters who have a fluctuating power level. It ebbs and flows based on so many things, from her different forms to if she completes Drole's Dance. There isn't even a proper means of measuring how strong she really is, but fans can at least try.
10 Her Endurance Is Just As Great As Her Strength
Diane's always going to be known for her strength, as she has enough power to rival Hulk from Marvel. However, it's far from the only thing that contributes to her high power levels. She possesses great endurance, even as a human.
She managed to withstand Gilthunder's lightning attack and even broke free of it. Despite Gilthunder not being the strongest character in the series, it's a feat that not many characters in Seven Deadly Sins could handle.
9 Loneliness Helped Push Her Creation Ability To New Heights
Diane's creation ability doesn't always get the credit it deserved. However, her creation ability is very powerful and was something that grew with her at a young age.
Even as a child she was able to craft two golems, which is an impressive feat for someone her age. The reason she was able to do this was out of loneliness and a search for companionship. It helped push her abilities to newer heights.
8 She Doesn't Always Need To Be Giant-Sized
In her human form, Diane is still plenty powerful. She can stop an opponent's attacks with ease. The preliminaries of the fighting festival proved that she was easily able to dispatch her foes.
She even took out ten opponents at once without having to break a sweat. Her speed and power were unmatched by what a normal human could do. Gowther commented that her strength was 950 at that point in the series.
7 Her Human Form Makes Her A More Well-Rounded Fighter
The strength her giant size body gives is unrivaled, but it comes with a fatal flaw. She's slower than a person caught in quicksand. Her movement speed is reduced so much she's practically a walking tank.
In human form, she's able to retain some of her strength while possessing far greater speed, allowing her to be a far better fighter. She's been able to dodge rapidly fired arrows from close range, even though the opponent had an ability similar to Gowther.
6 Her Punches Are Stronger Than The Force Of A Meteor
The sheer scope of Diane's power is hard to grasp at times, much like the Hulk's. They are both so powerful that it's difficult to get a proper gauge on their strength. She's been able to punch the ground to stop a hoard of bugs from destroying a town and has sent people flying with blows before.
The largest feat was how she managed to break through a barrier said to be strong enough to withstand a meteor, giving a good barometer for just how powerful she is.
5 Gideon Weighs Over Two Thousand Pounds And She Can Still Effectively Wield It
Gideon is massive and helps her use her creation ability to its fullest extent as the Warhammer was designed by the Giant Clan. The material used to craft it is stronger than steel and weighs 2,200 pounds.
That alone makes it impressive that Diane is even capable of wielding it. For most people, they wouldn't even be able to drag it along behind them, much less swing it around as effectively as Diane does. It's a testament to the raw power she possesses.
4 Mortal Wounds Mean Nothing To Her
As is often the case with this type of anime, the main heroes can withstand punishment far beyond what a person should be capable of taking, and Diane is no exception.
She's been able to shrug off wounds that should have been mortal and withstood immense amounts of blood loss without missing much of a beat. She was even able to continue saving villagers while having her shoulder and thigh pierced, letting neither hinder her.
3 Her Affection For Others Helps Increase Her Power Level
The love she has for others helps amplify her power, making her stronger than she would ever be without it. While that's both hokey and cliche, it does make sense. When you have a purpose for fighting, you will always have a greater fighting spirit than someone who has nothing to fight for.
Drole said as much in the anime itself as he thought she'd be a greater leader of the Giant Clan due to the love she had. It's hard to argue against him.
2 Drole's Dance Increases Nearly Doubles Her Power Level
Undergoing the trials of Drole, the leader of the Giant Clan, helped increase her power exponentially. The dance helps her get more intuned with her natural affinity, increasing her connection to the earth. The longer she dances, the stronger she becomes as well.
Once it's completed, her levels go from 8,800 to 15,100. That's nearly doubling an already high power level, helping make her one of the stronger members within the group.
1 She Has 50k Strength In Giant Form
Physical strength is Diane's bread and butter, something that doesn't change throughout the series. As mentioned earlier, it's hard to gauge just how strong she can be, and a big reason for that is that her strength levels in her giant form are 50,000.
Those numbers are staggering, even in a series filled with powerful characters. A lot of this does get off-set by the fact she's so slow in this form, but it doesn't negate how strong she is. No one else in the Seven Deadly Sins comes close.
