The Seven Deadly Sins is one of the most popular anime shows readily available to stream on Netflix. Its eponymous group of protagonists flips the script on the cardinal vices they represent into heroic qualities that define each of their characters.

In the same token, their chief rivals, the Ten Commandments (an elite group of powerful demon clan warriors) embody virtuous traits that actually have malicious interpretations that constitute their unique powers granted by the Demon King.

Excluding Grayroad, Galand, and Derieri, each of the Commandments have a counterpart to the Sins whom they share similarities with.

7 Ban (Sin of Greed) - Fraudrin (Commandment of Selflessness)

Ban and Fraudrin represent opposing characteristics but both have a few things in common. As shown in the image, they have exceptional durability as each can withstand multiple powerful blows, and share spiky appearance designs.

Moreover, their powers involve stealing something. For Ban, it's the ability to steal physical objects even an opponent's internal organs as well as their physical strength and speed. On the other hand, Fraudrin can possess another person's body as he did with Dreyfus for 10 years, and also inherit some of their feelings and memories.

6 Diane (Sin of Envy) - Drole (Commandment of Patience)

Seven Deadly Sins's Diane and Drole giants counterpart.

Diane and Drole are both members of the giant race, and at some point become the King or Queen of their clan. In season 4, Drole even tests Diane's strength during a trial in order to prepare her for the inevitable clash between their respective groups.

They also share similar brown hair color as well as orange and gray color schemes in their appearances, and earth-related powers. Drole eventually becomes a sort of mentor to Diane and basically appoints her as the next Giant Queen.

5 King Harlequin (Sin of Sloth) - Gloxinia (Commandment of Repose)

Similar to the previous entry, King and Gloxinia share a common race and both become ruler of the Fairy King's Forest, the homeland of the fairy clan. Gloxinia also tests King's strength in the same trial Drole puts Diane through.

Each of the fairy kings also possesses a Spirit Spear at their command, and like all fairies, they are capable of flight along with an extended lifespan. Virtually the only difference between them is that King doesn't possess pronounced wings like Gloxinia and has shorter hair.

4 Gowther (Sin of Lust) - Melascula (Commandment of Faith)

Gowther is a sentient doll created by a wizard demon of his namesake, while Melascula was originally a snake who bathed in the Demon Realm's miasma for a prolonged period to gain her powers. Both can alter their appearances but prefer to retain their respective physical forms for whatever reason.

Also, they typically display apathetic or detached attitudes toward others but while Gowther does so simply because he can't understand emotions well and strives to learn how to act accordingly, Melascula draws from a sense of superiority that makes her look down on other races.

3 Merlin (Sin of Gluttony) - Monspeet (Commandment of Reticence)

Merlin and Monspeet are the respective mages from each of their groups. While Merlin might be the more powerful and versatile spellcaster of the two, Monspeet holds his own in terms of raw power, and his commandment can potentially render other magic users useless by blocking their voices if they have hidden feelings or emotions while close to his vicinity.

Though Monspeet is the more physically durable since he's part of the demon clan, Merlin has an extended lifespan and holds far more experience than her counterpart.

2 Escanor (Sin of Pride) - Estarossa / Mael (Commandment of Love)

Escanor and Estarossa from The Seven Deadly Sins.

As potentially the most powerful members from each group, Escanor and Estarossa are both capable of using the Sunshine ability, which increases their strength to unfathomable levels the more they're exposed to sunlight. Although the latter didn't know he had the ability in the first place since his real identity as the Archangel Mael was hidden from him when his memories were reforged by the original Gowther.

[Spoiler Alert] Escanor actually kills Estarossa during their first battle but the latter is revived and regains his memories as Mael and returns much more powerful than before.

1 Meliodas (Sin of Wrath) - Zeldris (Commandment of Piety)

Seven Deadly Sins' Meliodas and Zeldris split face image.

Meliodas is the elder brother of Zeldris; both became the leader of the Ten Commandments at some point, and are the offspring of the Demon King. However, Meliodas was disillusioned by the goal of the Commandments and betrayed the Demon clan which eventually led him to become the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins.

On the other hand, Zeldris inherited his brother's position among the Commandments albeit with a different power. Since they're siblings, they share identical physical appearances (most notably their short stature) except for hair color. They also wield short swords and both reveal body tattoos that emerge when they're backed into a corner and have to draw out more of their demonic powers.
