In the world of comedy, space no longer seems to be the final frontier as it was announced today that Zach Galifianakis, Seth Rogen and Bill Hader will star in Universal's space-set comedy, "The Something." Exactly what that "something" is remains unclear but the film will follow a group of male astronauts, the comedy trio, who, after being lost in space for years, suddenly discover another ship, according to THR.

An earlier report suggested Rose Byrne would play the film's female lead, suggesting the newly discovered ship will include at least one female and open the door to a gender comedy in space.

Rodney Rothman, writer of "22 Jump Street" and "Grudge Match," will write, produce and make his directorial debut with "The Something." Additionally, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver will produce via their Point Grey Pictures production company. Hader and Rogen previously appeared in several films together including "Knocked Up," "Superbad" and "Pineapple Express."
