WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Servant Season 2, Episode 4, "2:00," which aired Friday on Apple TV+.

In the wake of Dorothy's nefarious twist to the family's pizza scheme from the last episode of Servant, the Turners kidnap Leanne Grayson and hold her prisoner in the attic of their brownstone. Dorothy, convinced Leanne knows the location of baby Jericho, hopes to "deprogram" Leanne so she will inform on her family's cult and allow Jericho to be rescued. Unfortunately for Dorothy, Leanne knows the devastating truth about Jericho, and she is holding out in hopes that Sean will finally come clean to his wife.

As Dorothy becomes more desperate, she makes increasingly violent late-night interrogation trips to Leanne's prison at exactly 2:00 a.m. By the episode's end, the significance of the episode's title, "2:00," turns out to be more tragic than once thought.

As Leanne holds out throughout the episode, Dorothy's grilling tactics become more extreme. She starts to physically harm Leanne, beginning with twisting her arm and escalating to pulling the young woman out of bed by her hair and throttling her. Finally, Leanne manages to overpower Dorothy and attempt an escape; however, Dorothy catches her and buries her alive in the wine cellar, much to Sean's horror.

Up until the end of the episode, this time's significance is a mystery. Dorothy admits to Sean that she gets "panicky" at 2:00 a.m., saying that, "My body seems to be remembering something my mind forgot." Sure enough, it is revealed in a flashback that 2:00 a.m. was the time that Dorothy, still deep in denial, finally came to the realization that she had killed her son. This event resulted in her initial bout of catatonia and the use of the reborn doll prior to Servant's first season.

Not only is it revealed that this is a physiological response to the time, but it also brings up a number of possibilities as to the state of Dorothy's mind. On one hand, her catatonia could be returning, as she seemed to be particularly dazed after burying Leanne. On the other hand, it might be a sign that Dorothy is beginning to remember her role in the family tragedy. Regardless, Dorothy is still fanatically obsessed with the safe return of her son, and the chances that she will release Leanne from her attic prison are unlikely as of yet.

Starring Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Nell Tiger Free and Rupert Grint, the second season of Servant airs every Friday on Apple TV+.
