It's no secret that Jerry Seinfeld seems to have an endless flow of girlfriends on the NBC sitcom Seinfeld. Many of these women don't make it past a single episode, but there have been a small number that appear more than once, proving Jerry has some ability to commit, albeit not for very long. Jerry has also found a wide variety of unconventional reasons to break up with these women, from not knowing a woman's name, to Jerry not wanting to share his dry-cleaning discount, to everything in between. Of the many women who appear on Seinfeld as one of Jerry's girlfriends, here is a list of a few of the most memorable.

10. Gennice

Seinfeld Gennice

Appearing in Season 6, Episode 24, "The Understudy," Gennice Graham is the eponymous understudy for Bette Midler in a Broadway musical production of Rochelle, Rochelle. What is unique and hilarious about Gennice is her seemingly unstable emotional state, exemplified by how easily she bursts into tears. When she's seen in hysterics while watching Beaches, her reaction is chalked up to the emotional film, however, when she is thrown into a tailspin over dropping her hotdog, Jerry starts wondering what's going on.

9. Meryl

Seinfeld Meryl

Courteney Cox guest stars as Meryl in Season 5, Episode 17, "The Wife," only 7 months before Friends premiered in September 1994. She plays Jerry's girlfriend, who poses as his wife in order to take advantage of a dry cleaning discount. This charade winds up causing far more trouble than initially intended when Uncle Leo bumps into the couple and becomes upset because he wasn't invited to the wedding. It ultimately becomes the downfall of the relationship, as the pair devolves into a stereotypical, unhappy married couple.

8. Lanette

seinfeld lanette

Guest star Amanda Peet plays Lanette, the woman Jerry dates in Season 8, Episode 22, "The Summer of George." When Jerry arrives to pick her up for their date to the Tony Awards, he finds a man in her apartment who kisses her goodbye, yet she seems completely unfazed by their rendezvous. Jerry becomes concerned with this very strange and unclear arrangement, but once Lanette drops the mystery man and begins dating Jerry exclusively, he realizes he can't keep up with her busy lifestyle. He enlists the help of George to combine their efforts in an attempt to make Jerry the perfect boyfriend.

7. Cindy

Seinfeld Cindy

In Season 9, Episode 19, "The Maid," Jerry begins sleeping with his maid Cindy (Angela Featherstone), which results in a serious lack of effort in her cleaning skills, yet she still expects to be paid. Kramer helps Jerry realize that this arrangement is closer to prostitution than an actual relationship. When Jerry confronts Cindy, she quits as his maid and breaks up with him as his girlfriend. Jerry is ultimately confronted by Cindy's boss at the maid service, demanding money, in a parody of a pimp/John interaction.

6. Jane

Seinfeld Jane

In one of the most famous interactions on the show, Jerry's girlfriend Jane (Jami Gertz) declines to share any toilet paper with Elaine, claiming she doesn't "have a square to spare." Season 5, Episode 12, "The Stall" finds Jerry dating Jane, whom he is terrified to be put in the same room as Elaine after figuring out the confrontation between the two. Meanwhile, Kramer's addiction to phone sex lines leads to the realization of Jane's true occupation.

5. Laura

Seinfeld Laura

Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin guest stars as Laura in Season 5, Episode 6, "The Lip Reader." She plays a lineswoman, whom Jerry meets at a tennis tournament and asks on a date after a misunderstanding, when he realizes she's deaf. After George learns Laura can read lips, he enlists her help to determine what his ex is saying about him at a party. Naturally, the process goes awry when she confuses the phrases "sweep together" and "sleep together," causing George to blow a gasket.

4. Dolores

seinfeld dolores

In Season 4, Episode 20, "The Junior Mint," Jerry is dating a woman whose name he can't remember. Embarrassed to ask her after having spent so much time together, he tries to figure out her name on his own. After a series of failed attempts to force her to say her own name, she reveals she was teased because her name rhymes with a part of the female anatomy. Jerry and George try to guess what her name might be, including Mulva, Bovary, and Loreola, among others, to no avail. After leaving in anger when she figures out Jerry doesn't know her name, it finally dawns on him that her name must be Dolores.

3. Jodi

Seinfeld Jodi

Jennifer Coolidge guest stars as a masseuse who is dating Jerry in Season 5, Episode 9, "The Masseuse." Their relationship actually seems to be functional and healthy, by Seinfeld standards, but things go downhill when she reveals her distaste for George, who then becomes obsessed with her, fuelled by her hatred. Ultimately the relationship fails when she gives Kramer a massage, but refuses to give one to Jerry.

2. Sidra

Seinfeld sidra

Teri Hatcher guest-starring as Sidra is another example of one of Jerry's girlfriends delivering a classic line. After Elaine tells Jerry she doesn't think Sidra's breasts are real, he's annoyed and breaks off the relationship, but when Elaine accidentally falls on Sidra in the sauna and determines her breasts are real, Jerry takes Sidra back. Everything comes to a head when Elaine walks into Jerry's apartment, and he's there with Sidra, causing Sidra to think Jerry sent Elaine into the sauna to touch her breasts. When Sidra leaves in anger, she gives the famous line, "they're real, and they're spectacular."

1. Jeannie

Seinfeld Jeannie

One of the best executions of a relationship between Jerry and a girlfriend is the introduction of Jeannie Steinman, played by comedian Janeane Garofalo. The idea is that she is Jerry's perfect match, and they are similar in endless ways. They both love cereal, comics and make flippant comments when bad things happen to other people. Jerry proposes to Jeannie, but he ultimately regrets the decision when he recognizes their similarities and decides the last thing he wants is someone like him. They break up in what Jerry describes as "the first truly mutual breakup in relationship history" after both blurting out "I hate you".
