WARNING: The following contains spoilers for See Season 2, Episode 2, "Forever," now available on Apple TV+.

In Apple TV+'s See, it appeared that Queen Kane (Sylvia Hoeks) had indeed cleansed the civil war within her former palace, Kanzua. She drowned the Payan capital by blowing the dam, knowing her council planned to betray her as the insurgents felt she went mad. It also culminated in her allowing her Witchfinder General, Tamacti Jun (Christian Camargo), to kill himself as he lost faith in her. However, as Season 2 progresses, Tamacti Jun makes a shocking return that may well turn him from a sinister villain into Baba Voss' (Jason Momoa) ultimate savior.

Baba's imprisoned after being whipped by Edo's soldiers. Baba's trying hard to stay alive so he can rescue his adopted and sighted daughter, Haniwa, but his evil brother wants to break him before murdering him in front of the girl.

In jail, Tamacti Jun reveals himself as a fellow prisoner, infuriating Baba. In Season 1, Tamacti Jun led his soldiers to slaughter Baba's Alkenny tribe as he wanted the sighted kids dead. Haniwa and Kofun were aberrations to Kane's religious order. However, he began to renege on the mission when he realized Kane's sister, Maghra, actually ran away from the kingdom and sired these teens.

Tamacti felt shame as he was supposed to protect the rightful heir, only to follow Kane and cause the Payans to self-destruct under her selfish rulership. He ended up impaling himself in the City of Worms as it burned in the Season 1 finale, leaving Maghra and Kane to come to Pensa and form a new capital. Thus, it's quite shocking to see Tamacti Jun alive after apparently being caught by Trivantes' soldiers.

However, while Baba wants to kill him, Tamacti Jun has gifts to offer. He admits Maghra's alive, and he can take Baba to the woman he loves. This will allow the kids to reunite with their mother, and, more so, he can sway the Witchfinders into not harming them as he now knows Maghra should be deposing Kane. It's an enticing deal, so when Wren comes to free Baba, he demands Tamacti Jun be freed too. However, Baba roughs him up, making it clear that he will rip him apart when he's done using Tamacti Jun.

The Witchfinder doesn't mind because all he wants is redemption to get the right person on the throne. He eventually plays a key role in helping rescue Haniwa, but she doesn't trust Tamacti Jun as so many of her loved ones died due to him. Thus, as they escape Trivantes thanks to Wren's help, See fans expect turmoil on the journey because of all the Alkenny blood he spilled. Still, seeing as he can convince the Witchfinders to turn on Kane, he's a great ally to have.

However, it's going to be an uphill task because Baba and his kin have been demonized. Therefore, it's unknown how many people -- Witchfinders included -- will give into the notion the sighted teens aren't witches anymore. That said, Tamacti Jun is a man of his word, and his loyalty to Mahgra could help Baba reform the family he never thought he'd find.

The first two episodes of Season 2 of See are available on Apple TV+, with subsequent episodes available every Friday.
