Dreamworks and Netflix have come together to create "Voltron: Legendary Defender," a reboot of the beloved '80s cartoon series, and this weekend's WonderCon saw fans get their first glimpse of the animated action due to hit the streaming service in June.

Watch exactly how five giant mechanical lions piloted by Earth teens get in formation to become the fearsome mega-robo-warrior Voltron in the pulse-pounding video below, which showcases the roaring, high-octane assembly of the titan in ornate detail.

The video runs just under a minute, a full :36 of which is nothing but gears grinding, lion-ships fitting into place, and flame-sword slashing.

"Voltron: Legendary Defender" is executive produced by veteran animation directors Joaquim Dos Santos ("Justice League Unlimited" "Avatar: The Last Airbender," "G.I. Joe: Resolute") and Lauren Montgomery ("Wonder Woman," "Superman/Batman: Apocalypse," "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths"), with the pair serving as co-showrunners on the thirteen-episode Dreamworks Animation Television project.
