Shyamalan wrote and directed all three films in the Unbreakable series, also known as the Eastrail 177 trilogy, which unites Unbreakable characters David Dunn (Bruce Willis) and Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson) with Split’s Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy).

In the film, all three of the superpowered characters have been institutionalized, where a specialist (Sarah Paulson) attempts to cure them of their psychosis. When Crumb and Price, also known as The Horde and Mr. Glass, unite to reveal their existence to the world regardless of the body count it requires, it’s up to David Dunn, now called The Overseer, to stop them.

Directed and written by M. Night Shyamalan, Glass is slated for release on January 18. The film stars James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Beast, Bruce Willis as David Dunn, Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price/Mr. Glass and Sarah Paulson as Ellie Staple.
