The Merc with a Mouth is about to take a top-secret mission to save the world from terrorists, with plenty of espionage, intrigue and fourth wall-breaking action.
Marvel and comiXology have announced a new six-part digital miniseries, Deadpool: Secret Agent Deadpool, which follows Wade Wilson as he undertakes the mission of an American spy he killed. When Wilson learns the agent was on a mission to stop the terrorist organization GORGON, he sets out to save the world with well-aimed bullets and well-timed jokes.
The new miniseries is only the latest in Marvel's line of comixology Originals, which includes Black Panther: Long Live the King, The Immortal Iron Fists, and Thor vs. Hulk: Champions of the Universe. Secret Agent Deadpool will be released biweekly, with the first chapter set to debut in September on comiXology.
Deadpool: Secret Agent Deadpool is written by Chris Hastings (The Unbelievable Gwenpool), drawn by Salva Espin (Deadpool Kills Deadpool) and colored by Matt Yackey, with covers by David Nakayama. It is scheduled to be released on comiXology on Sept. 5 for $2.99 and available to comiXology Unlimited subscribers.
