In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier hasn’t changed his appearance too much. Even though he's a hero now, Bucky Barnes still has many of the hallmarks of the costume he wore as a brainwashed assassin.

While Bucky's shaggy hair has been part of his ensemble since 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the Avenger could get a haircut before he makes his streaming debut in the Disney+ series Falcon and Winter Soldier.

At this weekend's MCM London Comic Con, Stan seemingly dropped a hint about his appearance in the upcoming series during a Q&A session, as ComicBook noted.

"Maybe he has a haircut. I don't know," Stan said after joking about wearing hair extensions. "I don't know anything. I don't know yet. We'll see."

In the MCU, Barnes hasn't had short hair since he was a World War II-era hero in Captain America: The First Avenger. Along with his dark tactical costume and metal arm, long hair is one of the core elements of the Winter Soldier's costume.

In the comic book Marvel Universe, Bucky has intermittently had both long hair and short hair since he returned to the modern Marvel Universe after being presumed dead for decades.

Although the MCU's Winder Soldier has already traded his original artificial limb in for vibranium upgrade, adopted a dark navy blue suit and ditched the mask he wore as an assassin, a hair cut could be a way to visually symbolize his return to uncomplicated heroism alongside Captain America's other partner, Falcon.

Directed by Kari Skogland, Falcon and Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan and will be released on Disney+. The series is expected to debut late next year.
