Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe remains a mystery -- even to longtime Marvel star Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier.

Asked about his potential involvement with any future Avengers films, Stan told Variety, "You know, I know nothing about that. I'm just a man. We got to figure out a couple other missions first before we even get there. I've got to deal with this other person. It's been nice to have a break from him, Anthony Mackie. It's nice to have a little quiet in this quarantine without him. But we got to figure out some adventures together first before we get there."

Mackie is, of course, Stan's co-star in Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Production on the series was recently halted due to concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Though rumors suggest a fifth Avengers film is in development, Marvel Studios has not made an official announcement. Judging from Stan's comments, it might be a few years before we see that happen.

Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series will arrives on Disney+.
